BadAim Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 I finally got off my lazy ass (or on it, as it were) and learned how to make a skin. I can't believe how bloody easy it is to get started! I decided to star with the Su26 to start as it has no skins and the IAR skin just doesn't look too sportplane like. What you guys think? Quote
Snacko Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Congrats on the Skin. You know today is BadAim Wednesday, right? Quote
Tonar Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 I find the color horendous (one of my eyes drifted) Quote
Kimosabi Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Looking good, BA, but the color is, well, visible. I want to get into skinning myself but as of now I don't have the time. Too much flyin' going on. Quote
GreyKnight Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Nice one BA, what program did you use? GIMP? You can try adding some shadows or other effects to your name, it makes the text stand out. Or download some military-type font, and it'll look semi-professional. Quote
BadAim Posted January 15, 2010 Author Posted January 15, 2010 The Color definitely came out way "thinner" than I wanted, and it's a pretty basic skin, as I just wanted to test out some of the stuff I have been learning. I've made a "cleaned up" version of the IAR80 void to use with the SU26 to make it look more like a sport plane, and I'll be making some more skins with that to work up my skills. Quote
BadAim Posted January 31, 2010 Author Posted January 31, 2010 LOL, I figured after spending two weeks cutting and pasting all of the mod planes into QMT, skinning was the next logical step! Quote
