MadTrooper
HI, I think that if your serious about gaming, you want to be looking at a refresh rate of no more then 2ms. What is the rate of the HDTV?
BadAim
If all you have is the TV, then it'll be fine. You'll be able to get a higher resolution out of the monitor, and from what I've heard the refresh rates on TV's can get pretty low (c20-24Hz) while gaming with them, to the point where it'll give you a headache. You might also want to make sure you get a 1080p TV as that would be just about the minimum for gaming at that size TV. If you can, try hooking the game up to your TV just to see how it looks/runs. Just a few caveats.
