cannon_fodder
How? I have one of these fantastic sticks but was under the impression that MS stopped production around 2000 . If you go to the Sidewinder site they are in denial that these devices ever existed. No drivers No support No downloads / manuals Limited funtionality under XP (no support for Vista) Its anoying that I have genuine MS Sidewinder Stick , Wheel , Gamevoice and Barney (dont ask ,it was for the kids) and despite all these products bearing the shiney MS logo thay have been dropped cold! no support at all. My quickshot pilot was discontinued in 1998. The quickshot site still has downloads for the programer, manuals and help! Hands up all those who love Microsoft
GreyKnight
How? CF, It is a running joke with the Dogz. Whenever we join up on a flight night, we often hear BG telling us that Pooka bought ANOTHER MSFFB stick off eBay. He has about 5 now I think. Just in case of course. Fireman
I too have one of these awesome sticks and will cry when it dies.....I wonder how GoGamer got thier hands on a bunch of new ones in the box? I just bought a new X52 (which I cant open until X-mas....lol) to replace my X45, which is still working but the stick is a little loose in the middle, which makes for difficult ground pounding. Blairgowrie
They were probably sitting in some warehouse of a bankrupt company. Go Gamer is a reputable Company and they say they are brand new.
Fireman
Buy one for me BG? Oh, BTW, I'm home from Florida, weather was great, I'm at work and I'll see you all in the skies on Thursday
Blairgowrie
I have three of the sticks; two of them brand new. I fly with an older model. I am thinking of buying another and having Quazi ship it up to me. I could always lend you one Andrew. Welcome back m8.
Fireman
LOL, thanks for the offer BG....mine is still working....I just dont have the closet full of spares that some of you do.... I opted for the replacement to my X45 first by getting that shiny new X52.
