Streak
Do any of you know why my standard headphone jacks are disabled when I plug in my new USB headset? Is there a way to turn them back on so Kim can still listen-in with her headphones while we are flying?
1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted September 9, 2007 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted September 9, 2007 Because TS/FB will default to using the USB as a sole sound device. Some use speakers for in-game sounds, and configure TS to use the USB device. However it sounds like you need splitters for your Jacks and 2 head sets. Logos
~S~ Streaks mate. Sorry I don't have any technical assistance to offer you. I was just a bit concerned knowing your beloved is listening in to our private TS sessions. I am afraid I will have to be more discreet with my TS communications from now on. Streak
It's alright Logos you'll always be my little hunky monkey. We can share a sheep & make-up. Appearantly she can't listen-in now, so our secret is safe.
1. DDz Quorum Friar Posted September 10, 2007 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted September 10, 2007 i would have thought the cheapest and easiest solution would be, like roger suggested use a splitter. i use one for my set up. please excuse this if you know what a splitter is My set-up (I turn my speakers off when using the headset)
Streak
Yeah Frior, that's how I was doing it before when using the lightweight headset with the round peg style plugs. Except I didn't even need the splitter because my laptop has 1 mic. & 2 headphone plug-ins for those type. When I got TIR I also got a new headset that the Pro Clip would work with (it wouldn't clip to the flimsy one I had been using), but the new headset has a usb plug and when I plug it in, the round jacks stop working. So I'm starting to think she's out of luck unless I can plug two usb headsets in at the same time. Anyone know the answer to that before I waste my money getting her some new headphones? 1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted September 10, 2007 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted September 10, 2007 I'd say 2 USB wouldn't work...
