I love the way the whole plane would rock from side to side when the engine was intermittently firing while idling on the ground.

Makes you wonder, from 1918, 20years and what improvements in the Spit fire.

Twenty more years and put the Spit along side an F4-Phantom, now the Raptor in another twenty years and the Phantom looks ancient.
