Rattler Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 Well, can't believe that it's been a whole year and a half, but I finally got off of my arse and stripped the paint off of my botched 109, and started all over again. Now that I know how to use my airbrush, the second time around was a breeze! Quote
GreyKnight Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Sweet airbrushing job Pete, nice camo indeed. Where is this 109 based again? Quote
Rattler Posted January 3, 2009 Author Posted January 3, 2009 I thought you'd like that one, John! I had to re-do the whole paint scheme from scratch after it was 90% completed, but it turned out really nice. It's a North African model, G4 Trop, 3/JG 53, Bizerta Feb. '43. Quote
Rattler Posted January 4, 2009 Author Posted January 4, 2009 Major decals... [attachthumb=1] [attachthumb=2] Quote
GreyKnight Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Hey, another 'Pik As' member! The 109 model I made was JG.53 too. Looks cooler now with decals. Weathering now? Quote
Cold_Gambler Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Interesting that you place a Yellow 7 over the White 5- Was that part of the decal package or did you put it together for an accurate representation of that aircraft? Quote
Rattler Posted January 4, 2009 Author Posted January 4, 2009 @Greyknight - I'm not much into weathering yet. Quote
GreyKnight Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Have you watched Brett Green's videos on YouTube? His username there is Hyperscale. I got all my info & techniques from him... Rattler Posted January 21, 2009 Author Posted January 21, 2009 Ok, I did a bit of paint chipping. Quote
Rico Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Thought you might like to fly it in the game too. Quote
GreyKnight Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 That looks sweet indeed Pete. Do some mud-splash weathering on the tyres now! Quote
Rattler Posted January 21, 2009 Author Posted January 21, 2009 Yup. POL and exhaust stains forthcoming too. Quote
Rattler Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 Thanks, Rico. I'm going to look at it right now. Quote
Rattler Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 It looks really good, Rico. I'll check it on a non-widescreen instalation later. Quote
