sged Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 1 word... awesome.... Looks like I'll be defending home soil at some point.... I hope we find corporal Hitler in there somewhere and save the world loads of future virtual trouble Quote
Beebop-RIP Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 JESUS H CHRIST! As much as I LOVE IL-2............ I CAN"T WAIT!!! Quote
Dubbo Posted June 7, 2007 Author Posted June 7, 2007 'nother update. Pretty impressive internals - look closely - some damage models of ground objects too Quote
BadAim Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 There's even grain on the wood on parts you can't see. I thought I was anal retentive! Quote
Beebop-RIP Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 How did you see woodgrain on a part you couldn't see? Quote
Enforcer57 Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 whoa....that Renault is nice. Been over 10 yrs since I did a ww1 sim. And B16, where I come from, it would be a 'K' key. Heh heh. Quote
Dubbo Posted June 15, 2007 Author Posted June 15, 2007 YGTBFKM!! I know one of the eye-candy gripes on Il-2 was the pointy corners on the railway tracks. Look at this......and check out the detail on the sleepers - no two are the same length. It's these little things that add up. Quote

Dubbo Posted June 24, 2007 Author Posted June 24, 2007 I think you're right. Must be French rail then. The new update this week doesn't give any info but the pics were titled "Trashbird". Maybe a static ground object. Or maybe you can fly a Sopwith Tri-plane until it gets this badly bent. Quite the wreck though. Check out the bent undercarriage strut and all the sags in the airframe. BadAim Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 I love this. I only wish we were getting bits like this from Oleg. Quote
Dubbo Posted June 28, 2007 Author Posted June 28, 2007 :) Fe2b baby!! Now that's what I'm talking about. Both gun mounts are modelled so I wonder if a/ You can play as a gunner a la FB & b/ If the position of standing on the edge of the front cockpit and firing back over the wing will be modelled. Those front observer types had testicles of steel and they must have been quite large. Imagine the pilot is throwing the kite around and you had to stand, unrestrained, on the friggin lip of your fabric-covered open cockpit and then aim and fire your Lewis gun at a target that was firing back - all without a parachute. Dubbo Posted June 29, 2007 Author Posted June 29, 2007 I guess there aren't too many pics of the gunners doing their stuff in a Fe2 - but here's one on the ground - Quote
Fireman Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Sparrow ol' Buddy.....with all your Red Baron 3d experience you had better be able to kick our asses in this sim when it's released........... Quote
Enforcer57 Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Hmmmm .........the gunner stands in front of the pilot firing backwards. I just wanna know who all is looking forward to flying with some guys crotch in thier face. Yup....definitely a Mr. Garrison moment. Quote
