We usually see -5 C temps as a daytime high this time of year, maybe up to zero on the odd day. Not bad if the sun shines and you're out of the wind. Certainly enough to keep the ice and snow and cleared off the sidewalks and driveways.

 

For the last 2 months it's been -10 to -15 with night temps in the -20 range or colder. Too cold for salt to melt the ice.

 

This sucks and I'm in the farthest South part of Canada
