quick one guys:

how do I copy my old 'controls' from one copy to the next?

I have an old copy of 4.07 from pre-crash with the control settings I liked.

have now bought a new game, up'ed it to 6.017 (whatever) but want to simply copy the game controls I liked from the old 4.07 I managed to save (preserve?).

I'm sure it is a simple as copying one file over...but don't know what one.

thanks gents.

(and by gents, I mean 'you freaking heathens').

Exept for Painless...he is a freaking sheep loving heathen. Well, not exactly loving. What he does with them could not be considered love in any language. Except by Sid, in which case it would be considered 'normal'. But I digress...

If you copy the folder named 'users' (and all its contents) from the old install to the new install, then it will copy all pilot info ánd controls and key settings.

Copy conf.ini over, and all other settings will be transferred. (Or copy/paste he [rts_joystick] section only, so the stick sensistivity settings are being transferred, but only try that if your control setup has not changed - ie you have not added, replaced, or removed any game controllers)

I love you too JP XX Normaility? Hah....overated.

Copy the 'Users' folder from the game folder. That has all your info re. controls etc. however the 'Controls' section of the game changed in 4.10 I think and added some additional controls so I'm not sure a 4.07 setup would fit. Try it anyway.

Once again, open conf.ini, and change:

[window]

width=1680

height=1050

ColourBits=32

DepthBits=24

StencilBits=8

ChangeScreenRes=0

FullScreen=1

DrawIfNotFocused=1

EnableResize=0

EnableClose=0

SaveAspect=0

Use3Renders=0

Unless... it's in the game's menu's... then it's normal.

Get in cockpit, should show without bars!
