  1. The Red Lion, at 10:00 AM, sunny (kinda) but lonely (kinda) Spotted so far: P40, P51 (roaring overhead!) Wasn't prepared for that, so no pictures ...
  2. Think it's fuel related...
  3. Can bring a Creative Labs 5.1 speakerset to Duxford. (ie. the Red Lion, or anywhere else where I may park my car, I'm not gonna carry it around!) I think it's the 5100 model. One will need a 5.1 sound card to operate it. Free, for anyone to come and pick it up there. Just holler between now and about 24hrs from now, as that's when I'll be leaving to Duxford!
  4. Welcome Divingwolf ! (There still are sane people 'round here, who will welcome you without smart posts and weird words and confusing stuff. Dunno who they are, or what they are, but they ARE here ... somewhere... I hope)
  5. Communication devices... I'm planning on bringing two walkie-talkie devices, kids toys, but they do work fine when traveling with two cars, on our way from Duxford towards the south... Just click and talk... over ... roger ... I'll also bring a mobile phone, just in case distance between the two cars increases beyond walkie-talkie range ) and just in case I get lost on the way to Duxford. Start a separate thread in which we can share phone numbers maybe?
  6. What really need is to do is bring a server online, your turn to host tonight, remember?
  7. It tranformed into AAS... allaircraftsimulations.com
  8. I personally prefer the days when I still had a 5 1/2 floppy I wonder did he have the program on the floppy causing it to seek that tune, or manipulating the drive it's self from some outside source of voltage or something? One can write a program at device driver levels... if you get that close to the hardware, you could make it do these things... like move the heads, change the speed of the disk etc. (Device drivers are basically programs too)
  9. Nope, you're close but... I'm in Overijssel... The German border is some 50km east
  10. That part of the Netherland's not on the map... it's too far North, and East...
  11. Me too. So? Many a dog gets kicked for no apparent reason...
  12. Had to lookup that word "Fastidious:" in a dictionary: 'difficult to please; too careful about small and unimportant things' Sounds to me you did good, tis the Dogz way ... ! (And I can't find anything wrong 'round here, 'view new content' shows me new content, so all's fine!)
  13. Probably, so better start growing one fast! Thanks BG, I knew it was about something one has no control of ... not even you... I think.
  14. No worries, I think you just did fine there. m8, looks plenty embedded to me ... On a side note, should I book tickets online in advance? For the Saturday? Sunday? Both? Or can one wait until the day of the visit itself? (Can remember reading about that somewhere in here, but too lazy to look it up...sry)
  15. A Map? I got the Michelin 2008 atlas, all of France on 1:200.000 scale.
  16. Too bad we'll be one day late... still, it will be special to visit the site then... no vets, but we'll probably see the flowers they left there... that might be kinda impressive by itself come to think of it...
  17. Oh, sorry, forgot one, just to kinda keep the balance, and keep things in perspective: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayeux_Tapestry

  19. It can't be out of warranty yet, can it? (Still waiting for Logitech's 5.09, my G940 is still in it's box)
  20. Good Luck Sulky!
  21. Big Salute to the Canadian people! What their soldiers did back then, so far away from their homes... ... My hometown, liberated April 11th 1945 by the 3rd Canadian Infantery Division, has this item to remember their efforts: It's a German 3.7 cm Pak 35/36, on it a list of names of places and dates that unit 'visited' en route from Normandy to the Netherlands... Edit: Found out later that it was a gun captured by the British, and it somehow ended up here... It's also the route some British troops took ... Hill 112
