  6. The 352nd have agreed to remove bombs from fighters. Proposed start date is 22nd of June. It will be mods on but the only mods we will use are icon mod and a flag mod that I will post later. Unfortunately I have family business I have to do so I will miss this Sunday and next Tuesday so won't be able to discuss this or plan much prior to kickoff. Can we have a mission leader volunteer for the first mission please to coordinate who is flying, who is tanking and plan of action? I will communicate info to him. I will also start a planning thread in the dangerdogz private forum for any further information and discussion.
  7. corespondance with deacon regarding the mission Hi Deacon Here are a few comments from the guys, just minor points as all are excited to try this out. 1) What icons do you propose using? We really had difficulty spotting tanks with icons off 2) Are there any mods we would need 3) Are bridges able to be knocked out or have you made them indestructable 4) We propose that only the bombers take bombs not P-51 or 109 as P-51 can take 2 bombs to 109s 1 5) We propose that the P-51 does not use 150 grade fuel 6) How many of your squad that would be on our side would drive tanks? and how many would prefer flying ?, just so we know roughly what to plan. To answer most of your questions: 1) As to icons, if you wish them on, no problem. we tested the mission with no icons but its no problem to allow our server to have them on. 2) I don't believe we used any mods but I will check. No mods means no conflicts and I believe I did that to make sure the mission runs fine. Our server will be like your with mods on but I didn't use mods in this mission of A&S. 3) Any bridges that you need to go over along the direct roadway or railway from one flag to the next ARE destructible. Once destroyed the roadway bridge gets reconstructed in 15 minutes while the railway bridge takes 20 minutes. 4) I will check with my guys as to not allowing either the P51 or the 109 to carry bombs. That's simple to arrange in the mission. 5) Again I will check with my guys as to NOT allowing the P51 to use 150 fuel. 6) As to the number of our members that would drive/fly with you - when we tested there were four guys one of which only flew while the other three did both depending upon where or when the circumstances dictated what needed to be done. Depending upon how many of you guys commit to the mission will depend upon how many of my guys will join you. We want to keep the sides as equal as possible. As I said only one of my guys only flies in these missions and he is excellent. Maybe that's why he only wants to fly. BUT I don't know if he is available for the sunday times of 2100 hours GMT since he is on the West coast of the USA. He hasn't been flying in your sunday sessions with us due to a conflict in real life. But if he has a chance to stick it to my Command Staff by flying with you, he might take it. We have great fun teasing each other about it. Feel free to comment and I will pass these on

  10. Gentlemen Local partisans have told us a Luftwaffe general is flying into Tamen. Our mission is to intercept and shoot down his transport plane. If successful our secondary mission is to hit targets of opertunity at the airfield and surrounding area Mission scheduled for Sunday 2100 uk. Mods on but only need icon mod.

  13. I'm not sure ft, I can run it on my pc but get a file transfer error when I try on server, mission is called all flags defences if you want have a look
  14. Ok still have issues hosting this on server but I have copied the map here so you can see the plan of action. My only reservations so far are 1) we need people to man the tanks,( I dont know if the guys from 352nd in our team plan to do this) 2) The bf109 can only carry one 250kg bomb whereas the P-51 can carry two so each of their planes has double the capacity of ours.

  16. @crash Unless FT or Colin wish to join , I can only see the usual 4 or 5 on our side but the 352nd have agreed to make up our numbers. I am planning to run a test mission on Sunday, that deacon has sent over, for comment I am also planning to run a test dogfight mission on our server using a newer version of the generator and of course the new patch version of BoX. If this is successful then we can continue with the campaign missions that I generate, if we have issues again then I am at a loss on how to continue. I have posted on syn vanders thread on the main forums but have had no reply.
  17. Following discussions with the 352nd, there was an intertest in flying missions against them again so Deacon has set this up. As per the email below, some of the 352nd will fly with us to even up sides Here is a copy of the email Deacon sent. We will fly German in this campaign, however there are tanks available if you wish , this is in the initial planning so if you have any questions please post here and I will forward to Deacon. I will put this test mission up on sunday for a practice. Here is a sample mission for advance and secure for IL2. This only gives you the starting spawn areas for both allies and axis forces. Also flag defenses for all flags along with four bridges that can be destroyed and will repair after a certain amount of time. The flag defenses are a number of AI tanks around the flag and AAA. Each time you capture a flag you get another spawn point near the flag you just captured. the actual mission from which we would fly/drive has these extras for each side: If you lose a flag - 1) a mine field will be placed between the flag you just lost and the previous flag to stall the enemy advance 2) a friendly tank AI counterattack toward the flag you just lost 3) a retreat defense of tanks to protect your retreat or your human advance toward the flag you just lost. 4) a plane to drop paratroopers who set up the anti-tank guns between the flag you just lost and your previous flag If you capture a flag - 1)three AI tanks advance toward you next flag 2) a new spawn point for your human driven tanks There are also two airfields, one for each side. The axis airfield (located in 1236) has Bf109g14's and Ju88a4's. The allied one has P51D's and A20b's. also each airfield has many AAA guns manned by expert gunners. I forgot to mention that a flag can be bomber by AI planes but I don't remember if its after you've lost or captured a flag. Since we have been using the allied side during testing with 3 or 4 of my members using the axis side, I would suggest that you boys become the axis side while we stay as the allies. The reason is that those 3 or 4 of my members would be willing to join your side during the campaign. The axis side starts at the most Northern spawn point (in 1033) of their "home base very close to flag 1 and then travels South toward the flags. These are the exact 11 flags that will be in the campaign and all the defenses for both side around each flag. The flags will change when it is captured by being within the radius WITHOUT the opposing side having any vehicle within the radius also. You need to capture all 11 flags to win.

Congratulations on a job well done, after initial issues caused by cloud and fog , we were able to destroy the strongpoints around Monte Cassino and allow the army to capture this key defensive position No 73 squadron has been transferred to the Strategic, Coastal and Tactical Air Force command and will operate out of the island of Vis to support partisan operations in Yugoslavia. This will involve attacking shipping, ports,storage tanks,oil dumps,bridges and defensive emplacements. We hope that in doing so we will draw resources away from other fronts and weaken the enemys war efforts.

  23. The last mission was the first time that I did not add the later enemy flight, usually I have secondary spawns around 30 and 45 mins. However this was designed to be a ground attack mission so I cut these out. In future these additional flights will normally be included unless for mission specific reasons
