    Proxy-checker?

We have an anti-bot measure in place. That is the biggest problem with forums, when you get plagued with bots advertising XXX sites and male impotence medicines etc. I don't mind the XXX ones but I now have enough Viagra to keep an elephant happy for thirty years (male or female . Remember we are all mods, if you see a user abusing these forums then deal with it accordingly, or email/PM me and I'll do it! For now I don't want to close the forums to outsiders, I can however make it so any new users need to be activated by myself or Sloan....any thoughts any one?
  2. Ok....I'm jealous Nice one Dave, belated happy birthday too
  3. Was a little bleary eyed when I first read this post. But know I have woken up I realise that the 'hack' is skinning one plane to appear as another. Nice job m8! That 'Kate' has big wings doesn't it, nothing to do with your artwork, they just look out of proportion for some reason..
  4. Not in my task list either..
  5. LOL you should have seen the wiring in my place before I rewired it. 240v coursing through 1935 cabling, rubber insulation that had forgotten it's origin. I replaced a light fitting, simple job. Had to cut a good 12" back and splice in new wire before I found some that didn't crumble when I touched it. 'Money Pit' was the film I thought of when I had that experience. Chasing channels in brick walls to lay in new cable is an experience I'd rather not repeat, unless on a pay-roll! Pulling cable through joists etc. is not the way to spend a weekend with three young kids. Then plastering, talk about learning on the job. Removing load bearing walls and placing re-enforced concrete joists.....what a hoot! Dust permeating every nook and cranny in the house. Took days just to clean out the heat sinks on the PCs
  6. Have a good one Angus When is the house warming?
  7. And judging how many players will be around for it too, the lesser the number of players the longer it will take to complete the objectives. This is an issue when map rotation is based on a time interval. I have yet to play with FBDaemon again, keep running out of time!
  8. You didn't mention beans, or was it poorly fermented beer? Nice photos VT, amazing place to spend a weekend 'flying' quite a rush. Thankyou for posting them
  9. Is there any interest in collating stats too? I can do the php/mySQL side and create a dynamic web page that we can use to get an idea of our k/d ratio and accuracy etc.
  10. Nice, thanks M8 brings back happy memories :)
  11. Knowing you that is probably true...
  12. M8, that was very kind of you and very much appreciated New England Lobster....closest I got to that was a lobster meal in a 'Red Lobster' restaurant in N. Virginia last year while visiting my wife's family. That franchise has yet to make landfall here in the UK S! to a fellow hound
  13. Carolyn Grace, she crashed it whislt taxiing at Duxford into a helicopter, writing off the helicopter and causing £100k damage to the Spit. Whilst the two seat conversion seems blasphemous, it did save the aircraft from being scrapped and has contributed to more people getting Spitfire rating in similarly adapted airframes. Dug this up from Aviation Today:
  14. :?  :? I've seen similar done with bonfires, but never anything in 3D like that....wow.

    NORTON GHOST

Looks good BG. The size difference is because ghost backs up what is used and it also defragments the image giving you a smaller image than source. You can edit the schedule, or as you suggest unplug the drive. This will merely create error messages in the log file but will cause no harm. Having the drive plugged in when the schedule kicks off a backup will mean it doing the next scheduled backup, it will not retrospectively back up a missed job. The backup will be small, as this will only be changed files as opposed to a full back up, it will also be correspondingly faster too so may be worthwhile leaving the drive plugged in (so long as the backup doesn't clash with a flying session of course as it will use resources)

    NORTON GHOST

That is the drive copy/migrate wizard. Used when you have a new drive to replace an old one. Have you run the autorun off the CD? This should install ghost, and put a yellow icon on the system tray. Right click that and select 'Run Norton Ghost'. When ghost opens select 'backup Drive' Follow the wizard to first select C drive as source. Then G drive as destination, I would first create a folder on G called original and one called Backup, opt to place the intitial backup in 'original. You will use 'Backup for your daily/new build back ups. It will prompt you to give the job a name, original will work. When you have the new build do the same, this time create a job called 'fresh' or the date. This can then be kept as a roll-back. I can be on msn if you want, signed in now. 20:03

    NORTON GHOST

You could, but it would be much quicker to install XP to the C: drive after making your initial ghost image on G:. Bandwidth you see...8Mbs vs 130Mbs
  18. Sounds great, apart from getting parked in the fire bit! Have a good 'un.

  20. The power cable will be identical to the one that feeds power to your DVD/CD drive (and possibly your hard drive if it isn't SATA). You should be able to pick up, if you do not have an existing lead long enough in your case already, an extender (this is what ATI provide). This has a plug on one end and a socket on the other. The installation CD....just go to the ATI site and download the driver package, that is all you need and it will be more up to date than a CD The socket on the card is a molex, usually white. It should be towards the rear of the card (away from where you attach your monitor lead).

  22. All 3 are too young to have their lives destroyed by this. Pint of piss to a gallon of petrol (gas) drink or drugs was involved..
  23. mmmm. I'll put her harness on any day Not sure I could fly the plane afterwards, there'd be two joysticks
