Salute gents,

i used to run the game with a 10Euors Genius joystick doing almost any stunt without stalling . For some two-three months i just bought and installed the X52 Saitek with the Rudder pedals. Installation went without a hick-up, playing them proved a bit more difficult; it took me some time to assign functions to all the buttons - but that was done somehow. The delicate problem is that i get into spins or stalls very very easily. I have to move the stick and the pedals watching for the smallest sign of flatspin...I suppose this can be solved by correlating the settings of the yaw , pitch and roll and would appreciate very much any help, or indications .

Anticipated thanks

Funny you should ask. I stumbled on this a few weeks ago and saved it.

I was having trouble staying on target and moved my settings closer to Olegs. Not quite that fine but closer.

Oleg Maddox:

Roll: 1 3 6 12 21 32 44 61 81 100

Pitch: 1 4 8 15 24 33 44 60 77 100

Yaw: 0 10 19 32 43 54 63 74 86 100

crazyivan1970:

Roll: 27 38 52 63 69 75 83 88 93 100

Pitch: 28 44 55 62 70 79 88 93 96 100

Yaw: 29 40 48 57 66 76 86 93 95 100 plus 7 deadband.

The Author:

Roll: 13 21 28 39 53 65 77 88 96 100

Pitch: 22 28 37 45 54 65 77 88 97 100

Yaw: 35 41 48 56 67 76 82 89 95 100

As a starting point, the author suggests the following:

Roll: 1 4 9 16 25 36 49 64 81 100

Pitch: 1 4 9 16 25 36 49 64 81 100

Yaw: Leave it at default for the time being.

Thats damn cool Crash.

As for the stall/spin. Your old stick may never have gone to full deflection- the only reason I can think of for your current difficulty.

You can hear the wind sound change before a stall(when the contrails start coming off the wingtips), the stick gets sloppy and more deflection doesn't really do much.

The biggest thing is a hard stab on the rudder just as a wingtip drops - almost always brings it right back and tells you - easy now fella' you're close to losing it.

Only use rudder to bring up a low wing when you're slow, using aileron further disturbs the already turbulent airflow over the wing and will induce a spin.
