1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted December 24, 2009 1. DDz Quorum Posted December 24, 2009 It's about 0C over here, after some days of a few degrees below 0. Rain is expected later tonight. And if that touches the cold ground... ice! I'd better get home early tonight... Quote
T_O_A_D Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Rain and More Rain, Turning to snow as I type 12:01 AM Christmas Morning. Quote

DD_Arthur Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Brilliantly clear, bright, crisp and sunny here in Devon. I want to go walking on Dartmoor but have been outvoted by my lazy kids Now the question is, do I watch 633 Squadron or Aces High on christmas telly this afternoon? Quote
rumba Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Now the question is, do I watch 633 Squadron or Aces High on christmas telly this afternoon? Just started downloading a Japanese film about the Yamato, biggest battleship ever built for viewing later. Quote
DD_Arthur Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Finally managed to boot the lazy gits out of the house for a couple of hours. Went for a walk on windy, overcaste but warm(ish) Branscombe beach; My youngest standing by the anchor of the Napoli. A lasting memorial to the greed and stupidity of a French salvage company and an English civil servant. Looking eastwards towards Portland Bill. Halfway up but as far as I could persuade the kids to go "I'm cold, Dad!" Old WWII pillbox overlooking beach. Cherbourg is about 150 miles due south so the only action this thing has seen is of the "Come and get 'yer knickers orf in 'ere darlin" type. It's got a commanding view of the beach westwards too. Anyone invading the Sea Shanty tearooms would be in big trouble. Still hoping for some snow though. Perhaps Wednesday? Quote
Blairgowrie Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 You really don't want snow m8. That looks lovely and green! Quote
