Crash Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 I am getting this error message and windows tells me that there is no audio device (yet I still can hear the silly tune it plays when windows starts and shuts down!) Why does it do it? What can I do about it? I usually reboot to clear it but is there any thing else I can do? Quote

1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted July 19, 2009 1. DDz Quorum Posted July 19, 2009 Google'd this error, this came up: a Microsoft article ... But, it could also be a nasty piece of malware ... Could also be a conflict between HP software and the OS. What is the issue your Security Center is trying to inform you about? Some links that turned up during the search with Google: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070911223838AAsy17w http://www.techsupportforum.com/microsoft-support/windows-xp-support/112378-generic-host-process-win32-services-has-encountered-problem-needs-close.html http://motls.blogspot.com/2006/08/generic-host-process-for-win32.html Good Luck! 1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted August 31, 2009 1. DDz Quorum Posted August 31, 2009 Sure, you can put it there. But better make double sure you document nicely what it is for, and when it should be used. So not everyone with just a sound card issue will try and download it... it's rather specific... Edit: Better yet, attach it here first, I'd like to have a look at it, to see what it does... Quote
Crash Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 Hi FT I cant seem to attach the file to this post but Quote

1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted September 7, 2009 1. DDz Quorum Posted September 7, 2009 What if you try that fix once more? If it helps, you just keep applying it whenever the issue occurs... Or maybe put it in your Start Menu, Startup section... it will then run each and every time you boot the computer. Quote

Hi FT, I tried running it again (twice) but no joy I have backed up my Il-2 installation and the Saitek profiles so tomorrow its a format and reinstall windows Quote
