1. DDz Quorum Friar Posted March 29, 2008 1. DDz Quorum Posted March 29, 2008 How about we invent DogzTime. We all set a clock at home to the same time, no matter where you are in the world, lets say at a given time we set it to 12:00 mid day. Quote
Rattler Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 It would work if you had one clock by your computer showing this time, or your own comuter's time (but that would cause so many other problems.....forget it!) I'll put a little alarm clock by my computer set to GMT, and see if it helps. When do you guys do to Daylight Savings, anyway? End of the month? This weekend then? Quote
1. DDz Quorum Friar Posted March 29, 2008 Author 1. DDz Quorum Posted March 29, 2008 Rattler, Our clocks go forward tonight. Ref the dogztime clock. i thought along those lines, a little clock beside our computers would work fine. Quote
Rattler Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 I'll have to get one of these then... [attachimg=1] Quote
1. DDz Quorum Friar Posted March 29, 2008 Author 1. DDz Quorum Posted March 29, 2008 that would help some of the dogz, we could say we fly when the little hand is on the left ear and the big hand is on his tongue Quote
Jibbediah Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 I just noticed that there's a bunch of clocks on the main page under Comms. Except they're an hour behind for me. It'd be nice if there was a countdown clock on the main page that showed how long until the next scheduled Co-op or SEOW. Something along the lines of "X days, Y hours, Z minutes left until..." and maybe below that a list of what the scheduled time is in each time zone. All of this including the current times that are already in the Comms section. What I'd really like to see is some kind of messenger/organizational program akin to Xfire or Steam friends with programmable group alerts, upcoming flight time warnings, group calenders, etc. Quote
cannon_fodder Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 We could use UTC / Zulu time? as used by NATO and the whole of civil aviation. or we could invent our own dog time at GMT+3 just to confuse everyone Quote
Crash Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Hello, what time BST is it tonight? I should be able to join in Quote
1. DDz Quorum Friar Posted April 1, 2008 Author 1. DDz Quorum Posted April 1, 2008 7:30pm BST or 2:30pm EDT my point exactly... It could be 16:00 dogztime (for example) Quote

cannon_fodder Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Did any one make a ruling for "dog time" Or do we follow friars advice and Buy a bunch of clocks set to east coast/west coast/etc? Actually that might look cool if I can get 4 or 5 small clocks and mount then to a board Quote
1. DDz Quorum Friar Posted June 9, 2008 Author 1. DDz Quorum Posted June 9, 2008 No, it never came to anthing I'm afraid. Quote
Crash Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Shame, however we could discuss it over a beer and do it anyway Quote
cannon_fodder Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Shame, however we could discuss it over a beer and do in anyway 8:30 Red Lion outside Duxfurd. Me and GMan will buy BG a beer and get him to decide Quote
1. DDz Quorum Friar Posted June 9, 2008 Author 1. DDz Quorum Posted June 9, 2008 Sadly BG wont be there this year, JP might, we can get him tozzled on warm bitter instead.. Quote
2. Administrators Jabo Posted June 9, 2008 2. Administrators Posted June 9, 2008 ~S~ nice thread How do we get around the fact that 1 year = 7 dog years? Vista users could always add a second clock to that sidebar thingy that's set to dog time? Jabo Quote
