F16 Datalink Set Up

I am just doing what I should have done years ago and starting an exercise book with notes on how to do stuff.

I am just writing up the F16 setting up the Datalink.

I think it would make more sense if we all agreed to start with 00201 for slot 1 and so on 00202 for slot 2?

Rather than starting at 00200 for slot 1

No, because it has to be an octal number, and so if you start with 00200, the eighth slot will follow the pattern with 00207 rather than having to be something different, as being and octal number, can only use digits 0-7.

Datalink slots will start with 00200 for slot 1 and go up to 00207 for slot 8.
