Kira Posted March 8, 2020 Posted March 8, 2020 Having troubles with formation flying, refueling, precision flying in general. Thinking that an extension to real world length might help. Looking at pictures of the real cockpit, it looks like the pivot on the floor of the F-14 is roughly double the length of the stock Warthog stick top-to-pivot-point, a distance of about 22cm/9 inches on mine according to my measurements. Though it might be half. Going off this photo: Thinking that either a 10cm or 15cm extension would be best. Like so: Thoughts? Quote
wingflyr Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 I think that the most comfortable position is important. So what ever length you choose to use, your arm base should be as level as possible to the stick. You will need as much relaxed state as possible. Having arm elevated up will cause some tension. So proper mounting is important.Whatever extension is the way to go .Just my Two cents Kira. 1 Quote

Might just have to build a couple stands and find a way to get those stands at just the right height. Throttle in front of the arm rest, and some sort of "stand off" setup to get the stick centered.
