Crash Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Found this for VR pilots https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=238208 Quote
Kira Posted May 5, 2019 Author Posted May 5, 2019 This mod allows LANTIRN use by pilot in SP/MP. Might be of use for our multiplayer flights since we don't have many RIOs around...https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3303929/ Quote
Redtail Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Thanks for this Kira. Have you tried it yet? Just got to get my head around assigning controls and working them? Quote
Kira Posted May 6, 2019 Author Posted May 6, 2019 Nope. My Cat's been rusting in the hangar lately. Been a little busy. Quote
Kira Posted December 23, 2019 Author Posted December 23, 2019 Totally missed this, too: Chuck was able to overcome whatever the issue with making a tutorial for the Tomcat was. Here's Chucks F-14 guide:https://www.mudspike.com/chucks-guides-dcs-f-14b-tomcat/ Quote
DD_Arthur Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 First attempt at a landing during my free weekend with the F 14 Quote

2. Administrators fruitbat Posted December 28, 2019 2. Administrators Posted December 28, 2019 I need to spend some more time in her, its on my list over the holidays, i don't want my f16 to get jealous though 🤔🤣 Quote
1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted December 28, 2019 1. DDz Quorum Posted December 28, 2019 Wow, nicely done Arthur! Quote
Kira Posted December 29, 2019 Author Posted December 29, 2019 Rather steep on the approach, yes? Quote
DD_Arthur Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Undoubtedly. The other jets I fly regularly - the Harrier and the Mig19 - have a sink rate that quickly becomes unrecoverable if speed is allowed to drop below critical for a mere fraction of a second. It's why I always go for the early curved approach. I find keeping control of rate of descent much easier this way. However, I've been getting more used to the Tomcat and I'm finding it surprisingly.......'floaty'......for it's size and weight. Just made my first eject-the-hood-stand-up-in-the-cockpit-carrier-landing😎. I'd love to show you but the bloody DCS trk. recording system is sadly knackered at the moment Quote
2. Administrators fruitbat Posted December 30, 2019 2. Administrators Posted December 30, 2019 My first carrier landing attempt, Admittedly I was being talked down by Tom!!! And Jester was less than impressed🤣😁 And a rather nice vid, after i jumped into Tom's Tomcat afterwards, and watched a landing from the backseat (with time to do some external shots too). Good fun 1 Quote
DD_Arthur Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Interesting. Since actually paying over money for it my Tomcat has developed a roll to the right when I airstart or take off from a runway. Using a MSFFB 2 can you can really feel it wants to roll. I've no idea why it's started doing this and none of the other members of my DCS fleet does it either. Quote
