Crash Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 I remember this and wanted to try it on my Warthog.http://dangerdogz.com/forums/topic/7464-give-your-x52-some-feeling/ So I bought a cheap rumble pad as the Saitek wouldnt work on Win 10. I checked it would shake using 1946 and ripped the guts out of it, mounted the board in a plastic box and used the Saitek rumbler as the game pad was a bit light weight. Last night on coops I was pleased to feel the shake as I approached stall and also felt the effect from flaps and u/c hanging in the airsteam. Well worth doing. Quote
1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted October 24, 2016 1. DDz Quorum Posted October 24, 2016 Nice one! (Does make me wonder... would IL2 now support more than 1 FFB controller on Windows 10? Can I make my rudder pedals forcing some feedback? Probably not... not even gonna try ... ) Quote
Crash Posted October 25, 2016 Author Posted October 25, 2016 Force feedback is really neglected in flight sims. If the Logi 940 had been made using better quality parts I might have stuck with it. I know Oleg didnt like FFB so I doubt anything can be done for pedals. Quote
2. Administrators Jabo Posted October 25, 2016 2. Administrators Posted October 25, 2016 Unfortunately flight simming to the extent where FFB is useful is somewhat niche so it's difficult to recoup the r&d costs.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Crash Posted April 24, 2017 Author Posted April 24, 2017 The Windows 10 Creators update killed it I cant set up the effect screen due to having no buttons/joysticks and it wont save when I move the slider with my mouse. Quote
Crash Posted April 28, 2017 Author Posted April 28, 2017 I ordered another gamepad to calibrate the FFB. On the first and second calibration screens it show the device as connected but on the rumble set up it doesnt show the device. So thats put an end to the shaker idea. Maybe I could roll back windoze but I have a sneaky felling that it will put the update back on at some inconvenient time. Quote
Crash Posted April 28, 2017 Author Posted April 28, 2017 Did a search on tinterweb and found a newer driver and now all is good Quote
