Deputy Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Here's me at a range in Indiana firing an H&K 91 back in 2000. Quote
Deputy Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 You got some fine posture there Deputy LOL...there's a bit of swelling at the belly area. But at 51 (I'm 59 now) that's to be expected Quote
Jediteo Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Is that the civilian version of the H&K G3? (called AK4 over here in Sweden). Quote
Deputy Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Is that the civilian version of the H&K G3? (called AK4 over here in Sweden). Yes it is. Actually, it's a special version that was made in limited production by a company called Century Arms. Insteal of having a stamped steel receiver, it's stainless steel. I wish I still had it. Quote

Rico Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 My buddies at work chastised me for that hand grip. But my arms aren't very long and a forearm grip didn't offer as much control during rapid fire. You can't see it very well in the picture, but there's a muzzle break installed instead of a flash hider like the G3 has. So felt recoil is considerably less. Actually, the hand-on-the-magazine style of grip is becoming more and more popular. Offers better control and stability. I'd suggest a strap lock. Quote
Lothar Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 EDIT: Finally had my hands on a better picture, since the previous one was posted a bit in a hurry Quote

Rico Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I think you are talking about the method the Marines use with the M-14 rifle. The H&K isn't really set up for that type of hold. The sling mounts on the side of the stock to make it easy for shoulder carry for long periods of time. Plus I didn't have a sling Quote
