I never ever see strange colors ... well, they do not appear strange to me anyways The bar that shows the loading progress, yes, that's new - I see that as well...

So, here's a follow up on the issues I had experienced with this update to 2.5.2: The installed version would just not update to 2.5.2, and there was no repair option... So, before re-installing from scratched, I had moved the old version over to a different disk, as a backup. Next, installed the new one, into a differently named folder, and created a new shortcut for it. It was updated and shift and all... Then Yesterday, post Clod session I fired it up, and all was well. Very well. Flak bursts and all. Now today I found out that the original shortcut had changed itself to the new location of the moved folder... so in fact I was running the original troubled version yesterday! No idea how it got updated though, must've happened when I thought I fired up the newly installed one, but in fact use the wrong/old shortcut? (This would explain just fine how all content -spit, P51, Normandy- were all active and present after the new install though...) Anyways, deleted the newly installed one, and moved the original contents back to its original disk.

Well, I reinstalled DCS, and it looks like it's all there now... Copied config\input over... looks fine now. I do know now where my issues came from: I had reinstalled Windows, but left DCS out of that. It worked like that, having it on a different drive than windows. It did work, but no menu items, and it was not listed in 'Programs And Features' / Apps. It is now though...

Hm, to me this all sounds like you are running an Alpha version! ?
-
Silly software this is... I downloaded the installer again, ran it, and then it showed me: Stoopid! As the software is not installed, I do not have any menu items! So, downloading and installing it all a-new, in a different folder! (10mb/s... lol)

Well, it could very well be a fluke... as I managed to do it just once, in ... well, maybe 20 attempts? At the next attempt, I was over confident, and initial touch down was fine, bit next I lost it completely rolling down the runway... left/right-wingtip polish and randomly park it off-runway.... Oh well...
-
Nope, I do not, not any more anyways... once it got to 2.5 I stuck with that, and removed the Open Beta stuff...
-
Ah, that explains it then... so that's what one gets for doin' a perfect landing in a Spitty.... lol Unfortunately, the entire Eagle Dynamics stuff is missing from my start menu... did I clean it up a bit too much? Probably ... The shortcut I use to start DCS is pointing to DCS_Updater.exe, so, should it not do the job for me? In the end, either wait a bit more, or would a change the time/date on the puter fix it? ?

Downloading? How and what? When I start my DCS World 2.5 it does not check for updates? What am I missing? ?

I think the third is not really relevant, until you run into trouble. Something like cross-feed? Here's a video: -

Fuel levers are over to the left rear, a big red wheel, and a green one. Rotate them both to 'inner'. Then, per engine, a bit of throttle (8%) and ignition. Then wait and be patient, until both engines are warm enough to apply power needed for take off. Might take over five minutes... -
w00t.... that's such a brilliant song I love it... The Cure made some great songs back then... (do they still do that?) My favorite album of 'm is "Wild Mood Swings" ... and indeed, it goes from "Himmelhoch Jautzend" to "Zum Tode Betrübt" Killing Joke... lol... is like... wow... ... energy and power... Reqiem .... and oh so simple ! Though I'd really love to see a Mosquito in DCS... Oh the hours of fun on just starting it up ... Thanks for Charlotte Arthur! (Edit: and I do not feel any envy towards you being there back then, and not me... No way none at all ... )

Cool.... really wondering what it will sound like. (I carefully predict we will have a BoX DF server up soon, 24/7, Night Time, all the time! ) Thanks!

New Game Launcher, New Set Up
FoolTrottel replied to DD_Arthur's topic in IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battles Series
Yes, yes, for those that only have Battle of Stalingrad this might be indeed particularly and extra specially interesting... As in... Go for it! (Not sure what it will bring you exactly, but I think I can guess it may tempt our Arthur to do some more mission editing, as he could add Bom-aircraft to his rather recently edited/created Bos-aircraft-specific missions... And we all realize that keeping Arthur busy is very important to keep our world safe, stable, and with plenty of food and drinks... ) -

Looks like the missions you hosted Arthur ended up in my Multiplayer folder? So we can host them as well, but not edit them... -

Hm. I have opened TCP&UDP for 28000, and only TCP for 28100 And, I have hosted with these settings! It doesn't need to know, with these settings you instruct the router to forward all TCP/UDP traffic on these ports ending up at your router, to forward it to your PC... BoX will deal with it when it gets delivered to your PC.
