  1. Create a windows startup repair disk, boot the computer with that one. If you know on which physical disk your broken windows/boot thing is on, disconnect the other one first.... Select Windows Setup when it asks you to (other option there would be memory diagnostics, you do not need those) The disk will show you which windows versions it can find on the disk, and let you select it. The choose 'Command Prompt', the commands to use: bootrec /FixMbr bootrec /FixBoot Then type Exit and press restart. Please note that I am writing this not from experience (haven't seen many of theses issues running windows 7) so maybe wait for replies of others with more experience? I have tried this procedure on a laptop though, and though the thing wasn't broken, the commands did not break it Alternative would be to boot the system with a Linux like DVD, including repair tools. Windows PE disk comes to mind. Good Luck!
  2. Finally, I found out what is wrong with the MarketGardenNijmegen mission. Well, I think I do... On the base in Eindhoven (where we never ever get to land somehow, but that's a different issue) I had put some static aircraft, to dress up the base a bit... eye candy. Two Tiger Moths! In mission code: Static vehicles.planes.Plane$U_2TM And the Tiger Moth is in UP3, it is not in HSFX. The real issue is, you can't really tell when loading the mission. You cán tell, if you use the console, and kinda know what you are looking for, in this case: past the 'Load Static objects' line, something like: WARNING: ****( Unexpected txr reload (tfMipmap): '3do/plane/U-2TM/summer/V.tga' Found it was also used in Battle of Britain\HardestDay.mis (And, as I recall, that one also had some issues with aircraft being visible or not) In my set - which I will upload all new in due time - this issue has now been fixed. If you want a quick fix, just open the mission files in notepad, look for $U_2TM and delete the line. (You could also replace it with $U_2VS, that's a biplane as well...) Now, does anybody know by heart any other missions that have had the 'can't see that plane there!' Some that I know of: - Blenheim night mission (could also be due to the DF server at that time) - DF Pearl Harbour - ? (Apart from actively looking for this issue, I might have to change my 'Scorelog' utility so it will look out for warnings, and report them...) Oh well!
  3. Good. Now, first thing to do is to make a backup copy of this version. To a separate folder, or disk, or external harddisk... Then, setup the stick, and buttons and whatever. Copy conf.ini file and the folder named 'Users' to the backup copy of 4.11.1m After completing that, make another copy of the 4.11.1m folder, the rename that copy to 1946HSFX (for instance) (on the same disk) And install the HSFX mod in that one folder. Not as backup, but as a running version. Next, you can install 4.12.1m over the original 4.11.1m. You now have two separate versions installed! Create shortcuts to both the il2fb.exe files and name those in a way recognizable for you. As you still have a copy of 4.11.1m as a backup, you can always revert back to that one if you need to start all over... Good Luck!
  4. Oh Sweper! That's so you! Disturbing, shocking, horrible taste, and yet so... darn good 'n' fine 'n shit!'Brilliant! Isn't it?
  5. Happy Birthday Nick!
  6. Good show Tonar!
  7. Found thé skin for Sally-B, it is missing the checkered cowling on the starboard inner engine, but it's all fine otherwise. B17G_Sally B.bmp
  8. That'd sure be very cool. (I was thinking that using the 'use stationary aircraft as spawn points' would be good. Place all the contenders' aircraft on the base, headed in the correct direction for take off, or line up or whatever... You spawn in your own aircraft, then go to the watch the show-camera position.)
  9. Listenin' to 80's music.... effin' bwilliant ...

  10. Good thinkin'.... Port inner, that's number two isn't it? But... we'll be at low level... Somehow, I got bad feelings regarding switching off engines at low level... can't remember where I got that from.
  11. Ooops... Happy B'day Guys!
  12. Yeah. Sure! Me, please! (You'd have to use some bullets though, to get one engine smokin' - out of sight of the audience mind you.) In general: are we going Full Real? As in... take off from DX whilst previous member is doing his routine, circle, form up and whatnots, come in for show, and land again? We'd be needing a show-coördinator for that... and a commentator

    No Audio

From what I can see, the Dx report looks just fine. The only thing that puzzles me, is the Realtek 2nd audio device. Could it be he has a HDMI connecting to a monitor / TV? Me thinks it could be that all sounds go to the HDMI output, because it is somehow set to the default sound device? Right-Click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner, select 'Playback Devices' and see which device is the 'default device', and once the USB headset is plugged in, whether that one is the 'default communications device'. (I have no HDMI connections, so no sound devices showing up of that type...) Also, on the tab 'Communications' (in the same screen), let him check whether the setting 'Do nothing' is selected ... Good luck!
  14. Tail section mounted, photo etched parts...
  15. Darn, this aint good... I knew the dashboard had come loose in the fuselage (had them glued together already), and now the Pilot's lost its head! Good news is twofold: I could crack the fuelage halves open far enough to fix the dash, ánd ... I'm starting to work on the project again!
  16. Thanks, Again, Colin ... Brilliant!
  17. Beautiful! Thanks!
  18. Here ya go: 4.12.1m
  19. Am uploading it to the vault right now... hold on... BTW, there were three of these posts in the IL2-Specific forums. I moved two of them out of the way...
  20. Here's an idea: Hook up your empty internal drive as the only disk on the new motherboard. Then install Windows 7 on it. After completed, hook up the other, original drive, as drive D: or E:. You can then either copy from the old disk to the new one whatever you need... Or, leave the old one in, clean it up (removing windows folders and such) without deleting IL2 (maybe ROF will be needing a re-install? Dunno) and run stuff from that secondary drive...
  21. Nice camera indeed, good pics under those circumstances, though... I wasn't there, so .... ... thumbs up for the tankpeeps to put a walrus in there as well... how fitting....
  22. What Toad said... + Me thinks if the make and chipset of the new board is kinda like the old one, there's a chance it might work without re-installing, and you may/will have to re-activate windows ... (You can always give it a try... the emphasis however lies on the backup. Or rather... two of 'm...)
