  1. Hi Dan, many thanks for your kind words and don't worry, your English is far better than my Romanian! Glad to hear you are getting use out of our Server, it seems to be quite popular and we are happy to be part of keeping this great community and sim alive. Although technically free to use by all, it does of course incur costs for us, so if you like what we are offering and want to see the server running for a long time, perhaps you'd consider making a donation (however big or small) at some point. http://dangerdogz.com/forums/donate/ Happy Landings and welcome to Clod!
  2. Saw this years ago on some airshow pictures forum, seems he's still going with it which is good. Not a 'real' Spitfire per se, but this Allison powered 1:1 scale Mk.IX(ish) home build is a worthy effort. Far better than any of those ghastly 'Spitfire' Mk.26s that plague the land, I have to admire the guy.
  3. Just got round to watching that SAAB one - stunning!!!
  4. Not watched it all yet, but plenty of Focke footage here! I never knew the cooling fan turned faster than the propeller, it can be seen starting to rotate in a close up at 52:00 into the film.
  5. Started to go over my head about half way through so will continue another day, but woah what a piece of kit?! Can you imagine the conversation in the boardroom of the weapon manufacturer when the idea was first raised? So we've got an idea for a new cluster bomb... Funny guy doing the vid too.
  6. Haha, that is funny, incredibly impressive and terrifying all in one go.
  7. Fascinating! I think these kind of before and after pictures are great. I did a similar thing with some pictures I took when we visited Normandy a couple of years ago. They're on here somewhere...
  8. Drooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
  9. Not jealous in the slightest... Jammy begger!
  10. Texas flying legends visit st barts. Seen it before but always enjoy it! incidentally the corsair and zero had a coming together last week whilst taxiing. No injuries apart from pride and both aeroplanes needing some structural attention! Poor zero didn't like having its tail chomped off
  11. RIP Beautiful piece of music.
  12. Certainly was chaps! Well done on our first SOW3 sortie.
  13. If I can afford it, i'll probably go on the Saturday. The Frenchies have been more entertaining that the Reds in recent years (in my opinion) and i'm probably flying out to Barca on Sunday so that stumps that.
  14. For those interested, Elliot Marsh from Global Aviation Resource has started to compile an extensive series of articles delving into the history of the Old Flying Machine Company and the key figures of Ray and Mark Hanna. Part one is now available to read here and features some great photos from the archives as well: http://www.globalaviationresource.com/v2/2016/03/07/the-old-flying-machine-company-pt-1-the-founding-father-son/ Looking forward to Part 2 already 'SPITFIRE MK.IX MH434 FROM THE COCKPIT'
  15. Greetings NobiWan! Thank you for your appreciation, glad to hear our server is being enjoyed by so many. You should be able to donate here: http://dangerdogz.com/forums/donate/ Hope to see you in the skies over the Channel sometime soon
  16. Thanks for the feedback mate, actually I think mine's a Gigabyte iirc... And yes thanks, we will indeed take you up on that offer! Meant to mention earlier
  17. Hi chaps, bumping this discussion to get a better idea of what parts the old man can start purchasing. Been looking into CPUs a bit more and taking on the advice that the newest socket will of course be best, how does the following look? http://www.ebuyer.com/718336-intel-core-i5-6600k-3-5ghz-socket-1151-6mb-l3-cache-retail-boxed-processor-bx80662i56600k No HS + fan but that's fine because we'd be spec'ing an after-market solution anyway. Just need to settle on a decent compatible mobo. Any suggestions?
  18. Thanks for all that you do Rog! All sounds good to me.
  19. Ok sure, it that case I may wait for a bit. They sure look pretty though.
  20. Woah, yes! I think i'll be downloading these tonight! Thanks OverD
