No he won't be able to use any later version of the track ir software, but that one he's using 'might' work fine on win 7. (Edit, seems not to) As for the ffb, its the profiling software that doesn't work the sticks fine, good to see that Microsoft don't know jack about there own products..... I'd look on ebay and try to pick up a cheap trackir 3 or 4, there so much better than the 1 anyway, if you look around you'll get one damn cheap. a very quick look around i saw a trackir 4 for 120 US dollars.

What version of track ir do you use? Oh and i use a ffb2 with win 7 and so do many others here, it works fine. Also what GFX card do you have, and what are the specs of the win 7 machine 4.10 and 4.11 aren't mod versions of the game, they are stock patches.

Hi Zzulu. We tend to fly slightly more relaxed settings than full real, not full icons but limited. Our policy has always been to cater for the lowest common dominator, as the primary goal is fun for everyone. That said it depends on who is hosting, i for example tend towards harder settings but only if the crowd is willing. We operate on a very much real life comes first basis, there is no pressure to show up, its when you want a bit of fun. We have a complete range of pilots, from the very good, to the just beginning. That said, some of us are flying in a multi squad SEOW at the moment, which is full real, so that opportunity is there as well. Most of all its all about fun, and if that sounds like it suits you, welcome We are mixed from all over Europe and North America, with 'dedicated' flying times on tue thur and sat and sunday, but there's lots of other informal flying as well, when people just hook up on TS, cheers fruitbat
