  1. One thought that does occur... Taking off with one Merlin is fine, two is a 'soab'.... Four, you'll probably need to offer some sort of prayer to your chosen deity. And a sacrifice, maybe a goat.
  2. A6 in there, A7 and briefly a MiG 23 I think amongst others....
  3. So many nice things coming!
  4. Mossie FB please. Just out of curiosity, what is the single mossie 'B' role?
  5. Salute BG, Thank you so much for all the fun you enabled me to have in the past several years, and continue to have to this day because of you. Sadly missed
  6. I was in front of you though.... I don't know how you broke your f16, but mine was working fine, both the f10 map and my hsd showed exactly the same thing! Very strange. Its possible its a bug to do with the new data link implementation as yours is showing exactly what mine was showing, which was correct for me. I wonder if cause i was number 1 and you were 2, theres a bug there....
  7. Normandy map repaint,
  8. Thanks FT, you legend
  9. Somebody is enjoying playing with Jdams with the F-15, released in the latest patch.....
  10. Pretty sure I've heard something like that before...... 🤣 Edit, @Friar its on the Channel map, Normandy map doesn't have winter textures, just summer, Channel map comes in 2 flavours....
  11. Its looking rather pretty.....

  12. Loving the F-15E at the moment,
  13. Only the Harrier can pull 'mark points' from the F10 map, as far as I know. Mark points are something different irl, and are a way a pilot can can quickly create a special type of waypopint/steerpoint from where one of there sensors is looking, Tpod, HTS pod, Helmet, ground radar etc.... and are usually created through the UFC and are limited in number, ie 26-30 in the F-16. They often have extra features like displaying MGRS coordinates as well as the normal lat/long. Could you associate a bit of text to display as a message along the top, linked with the random event that displays a general location of that event, that the pilot can enter into there nav system as a waypoint to get them on station?
  14. Can't remember my pilots name, but still the original (been on extended leave in Paris, Hic...) Air: 1 Shared kill with Dennis, I got the credit but was a definite joint effort. Was a 109. Ground: One artillery piece. Special mention to excellent winging form Wingy!
  15. If you want to use this as a kneepad, download this and unzip to, C:\Users\kevin\Saved Games\DCS\Kneeboard\F-16C_50 or whatever plane you wish. DCS_SAM_Threat_Guide_V21.zip
  16. I know it costs around $10 for this app, but I'm going to pick it up soon and a cheap android tablet, and mount it in front of my joystick. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/228734-dcs-ufc-android-app/ When starting to use the jets in more complex situations, using the ufc's becomes a much more integral component of the operation of the jets, and while using the numberpad section of the keyboard suffices mostly, having the bespoke ufc of each plane right in front of me at my fingertips is well worth the small sum to me. Just need him to do the Mudhen ufc now, once exports are enabled for the module in upcoming development patches. Compared to other modules, the F-15 seems to require more than most use of the ufc, and annoyingly is the one that is least easy to map to the numberpad keyboard!
  17. China diesel have an empire eithet (yet). They've just launched their 3rd carrier, with an interesting design, no angled deck, not vtol aircraft..... Either all there pilots are shit hot, or the first bolter is going to wipe out the entire flight line!
  18. The Apache uses lat long decimal format, which happily so does the F-16 and F-15. The F-18 would require to convert to lat long standard. Have no idea what format the mirage uses?
  19. Yeah, was good fun, thanks for helping me work out the details. Involved Colin using the Apaches sights to find and lase and store a target, which gave him in the cockpit the coordinates of that target. We then needed to work out what format the coordinates were in, and what the F-15 takes, which as it happened are the same, although confusingly the Apache throws out one less decimal place, making the coordinates look like they were a different format, which confused us for a while!🙈 Once i had the coordinates read out to me on comms, i created a target waypoint in the F-15, and then used the info in the HUD to steer to and drop my LGB on the cues, and Colin lasered it in for the last 10 seconds of flight time, and Kaboom!!!!! I was up at 30,000 feet, above the clouds and never laid eyes on the target at all, cool stuff.
  20. You want father jack???
  21. It could still be delayed! Wonder what new goodies we'll get🤔
  22. Looks like its dcs patch day today
  23. Few highlights (for me anyway) from lastnight, Including Tom's deadstick landing,
