  1. 'getting'? lol. Its always been expensive. The weird thing is; all the moaning is about the software - the cheap bit
  2. Reference our conversation last night on the capability of the a.i. rear-gunner in the Pe2; This was recorded on Wings of Liberty server two and a half years ago but nothing in the a.i. logic has been changed as far as I'm aware. What you see is the a.i. rear gunner in action from his perspective. I'm actually flying the plane.* All these '109's were flown by breathers. You can see why the Pe2 makes 'em so cross *I must get on with the rough and ready guide to the viewing and track recording system I keep promising
  3. I think I sound like a high-pitched cockney w@nker and now I know I do sound like a high-pitched, etc, etc.....
  4. Hello Pavel and welcome to the DangerDogz forum. I think I can answer this on behalf of all our squad members. The DangerDogz server was set up for our own amusement - for fun. Having fun is what the DangerDogz are about. Our idea of fun is to jump on team speak, shoot a few planes down and herd a few Cats. Statistics? I can't ever remember any of us ever having a discussion about statistics so......we don't have them. External views? Well Cliffs is many things and one of them is certainly graphical beauty so why just restrict yourself to the inside of the cockpit only? On a more serious level; yes I understand where you are coming from but luckily Cliffs still has some diversity of servers and I believe the no externals, no icons, statistically proven experten are catered for by other servers. Of course, if we talk of experten then we must also talk of the newbies to the game. Being about the most famous air battle of all time and being available on Steam means Cliffs of Dover Blitz edition still maintains a healthy number of genuine newcomers to combat flight sims. We hope that we can provide a toe in the water of multiplayer for these welcome newcomers - before they all go onto become Erich Hartmann!
  5. I'm sure I can think of a couple of Dogz who will be pleased!
  6. Just looking forward to giving you a Kaliningrad K-5 enema FT.
  7. Two weeks? Thats probably a good thing. I think it's going to take me that long to figure out how to launch missiles from my Mig 19!
  8. Last nights coops; first attempt Up and running
  9. Nice one Colin! After thirty years of being together I'm just looking at ways of hiding a chunk of money from my wife so I can buy a 2070
  10. I see. Thanks Kira, understood. I'm a bit reluctant to download another version of DCS so if I wait for my present beta to become the stable version I should be good to go on the DD server?
  11. Er...ah. I see. So, er....confused. 'Stable' and 'Open Beta', does this mean I'm up the creek as per our server? Not too sure what the difference is and is it possible to access the 'stable' version?
  12. Whats the server called FT? I can't seem to see anything like it in the server list.... Also, I've downloaded the A4 mod but haven't installed it yet. Could that be the problem? My game was updated last night so I could fly the Mig19. My game says it's on version 2.5.4.28090. Open beta.
  13. Oh fantastic FT! Thanks very much. Going to have to get myself the Farmer.
  14. I've got the same card Colin and looking to upgrade too. What are you going to replace it with?
  15. For Tom - yesterday evening on our dogfight server. You hit one of IL2 BoS's fabled 'invisible objects'. No, I don't know why either. I'll post this in the bug reporting section with the map reference as the devs will remove this. Apologies for the weird vid. but I'm experimenting with this https://shotcut.org/
  16. Well hello, this looks another interesting possibility...... https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/43276-simple-coop-mission-generator/
  17. I'm interested to see if we can lever any of the donations made to ATAG - part of a commercial organisation - to help fund the running of our server. However, I'm now even more interested in the idea of using any funds that can be raised from our CLoD server being put into the potential running of our own DCS server.
  18. Sorry Jabo. This comes across as a bit shirty? It's not meant to but I would like to stimulate some sort of discussion. Do we have any idea if we've received any donations from users of the CLoD server?
  19. Well that is interesting. I note that late last year TFS bought the ATAG website. They still call for constant donations on the ATAG website as apparently the ATAG server costs $250 per month to run. Since our server is "a HUGE asset to the community" do you think next time you're talking to one of the TF devs you could mention that perhaps we'd like a slice of the action to keep our server running? Just a thought........
  20. Watch this carefully.....
  21. Sorted. After visiting the DCS forums I now realise I should have de-activated my modules first. However, what DCS provided worked and we're in business again and oh er!!! Upgraded pc - not even overclocked yet - and DCS is running appreciably better than before. I might have to buy the Harrier now
