  1. If the chip/nasal interface is becoming more difficult, have you considered other orifices? I've found I would imagine the crinkly, frozen oven variety are quite thrilling.
  2. Grooving with W/Cmdr. Wright-Upham......
  3. Please sir, can you verify me again?
  4. Vander's mission generator now on version 27 (!) with improvements to mission logic; ie the chance of running into Delta, Thor and their G14's has been improved and also a new map mod for the Bodenplatte map available here; https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/58069-mod-rheinland-texture-mod-wip/
  5. Another big sale on for Box. If you're just returning to the fold, now's the time to get it all on the cheap! https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/58004-lunar-new-year-sale-launched/
  6. Well this is an unexpected pleasure!
  7. This is true. Therefore we will have to wear appropriate clothing. Now....wheres my BIG girls blouse?😎

    New Toy Mmm

Hurrah! Something has obviously gone wrong for whoever organises the weather here and they appear to have run out of water to tip over us. 'twixt Holne and Hexworthy this afternoon. Looks like I'm about to join Painless in the family shortarse club!
  9. For....ahem....cinematic purposes I'm hoping we might find the time tomorrow (sunday) evening for a little mass P-51 formation flying wearing 'Blue-nosed bastards of Bodney' skins. Nothing too dramatic or taxing, just a large gaggle flying gently around for a bit I've uploaded the appropriate set of 4k skins to the skault so they are available via Checkskins or you can have a look at 'em and d/l from here. https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/55168-bugsys-p-51-skins/?do=findComment&comment=876083 Or of course you can tell me to get stuffed!
  10. Me fall off me chair!
  11. Hello FT. I wannado the Checkskins thang again as I've got myself a whole squadron of blue-nosed bastards and I need volunteers to smile in front of the camera whilst in a massed, close formation of P-51's Can you verify that I'm a member of the dangerdogz?
  12. Infrastructure? We don't need no stinkin' infrastructure!
  13. New version of Vander’s generator up with some interesting new features like secondary targets, new spawn on runway arrangements and....stuff
  14. I'm looking forward to you explaining that to Delta, FT. "H'way pish with ye. I'm noo flyin' that rooshan shite"
  15. Hello Mobius. Good to see you. We use Team Speak 3 and hopefully someone will be along shortly to give you the details. JP and yourself should check out Sid's thread on X52 set up here; and perhaps have a look through this thread; and even this one; We are using Mods. However, mods in the IL2 Great Battles series are nothing like mods were in '46. Two different game engines completely that handle the concept of mods in entirely different ways.
  16. Hello JP!!!!! Get 'em all while the sale is on. Bodenplatte is the latest and greatest so it's not on sale yet but it's got the aircraft we usually fly. The Great Battles series is completely separate from IL2 1946. We don't use '46 anymore. 1C Games sent Oleg to the Lubyanka after the debacle that was Cliff's of Dover and Il2 has basically become a franchise. The Great Battles series - with an American producer running a development team in Moscow - is where we are now. Get em' here https://il2sturmovik.com/ It looks like this; We fly this every Tuesday evening at @7.30 gmt and Sundays 7.30 gmt. Hopefully, someone who knows these things will pm you T/S details soon. Very nice to see you here again. Now we just need Rattler's wife to excommunicate him and he can fly with us too!

    New Toy Mmm

New Years day and my 'new' toy is nearly seven years old Went for a walk on the beach. I'd like to say it was a bright, crisp and clear winter's day. It wasn't. It was urghhhhhhh......... "Look grandad. Even the freakin' seagulls are walking!"
  18. Interesting. Since actually paying over money for it my Tomcat has developed a roll to the right when I airstart or take off from a runway. Using a MSFFB 2 can you can really feel it wants to roll. I've no idea why it's started doing this and none of the other members of my DCS fleet does it either.
  19. Undoubtedly. The other jets I fly regularly - the Harrier and the Mig19 - have a sink rate that quickly becomes unrecoverable if speed is allowed to drop below critical for a mere fraction of a second. It's why I always go for the early curved approach. I find keeping control of rate of descent much easier this way. However, I've been getting more used to the Tomcat and I'm finding it surprisingly.......'floaty'......for it's size and weight. Just made my first eject-the-hood-stand-up-in-the-cockpit-carrier-landing😎. I'd love to show you but the bloody DCS trk. recording system is sadly knackered at the moment
  20. That was attempt no. 8 I think.😢
