Dammit! I know I would eventually get it.. So, I just did.
So, now I have both IL2BOS and DCS1944 preorders.
Oh yea, and I almost forgot about Chris Roberts $26million Kickstarter for Star Citizen.. Oh my..
I think I am turning into Rico.
I'm not much for silent movies unless they are 5 star award winners, but I watched and ff a little. At 15 minutes in is where it gets good.. Muhhhhaaaaaaa!!
Hmm... I didn't realize how many real pilots we had here.. I knew about CaptJack, Squawk, and one or two others..
How many guys in the squad actually fly for a living?
I like flying CLod when I can get into a plane. But the interface to launch a multiplayer mission is just confusing. Do you think they will ever be able to change the way they build and launch multiplayer missions? Until they do that I don't see us playing it much. What do you think?
Ok, well let's see if anybody else is interested....
This Saturday 3pm EST (7pm GMT) is good for me. Anybody else?
We could train for a while if anybody needs help, and fly a few coops?
I would like to do this sometime. But I'm not sure how to work it with the time differences with some of the other US guys unless they can fly during the daytime.
Since I am a backer on the DCS WWII Europe 1944 Kickstarter, I should be getting the DCS P-51 for free any day now too. That's a great deal considering I only gave $40.00 to kickstarter for 5 aircraft and get this P-51 ($39.99) today.
"There's no way it'll brush out. What the hell am I going to say to the insurance? "Och, a ned shat down the chimney?"

I went for the DCS WW2 pre-order. So we can compare the two sims. In about a month the DCS backers should get access to their EDGE Map building tool.

Ok, I decided to back this today... Today they changed what you get if you back early. I went for the $40 option which now includes 'every' aircraft in the initial release (instead of just 4), and early beta access.
Not that steep if you just want to fly and use your weapons.. I was helping APHill get up to speed a few days ago.. The main thing to learn is how to trim the AC, but that is just one button. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with Tapatalk 4.
Just wondering if anyone is interested in flying some DCS missions? Sharing what they have learned? Etc...
Post here if you are, and what you are interested in?
I know just enough to autostart both the Huey and Mi-8 and be dangerous. I can also fly the A10A pretty well from my Lockon FC years...
There is an English Cockpit mod for the Mi-8MTV2 available here.
I made it into a JSGME mod. (see attachment) So, if you know how to use that, just make a JSGME MODS folder (don't make a MODS folder as this game uses a folder by that name). And put this mod into that new folder.

And you've checked their support site for activation? I found help there when I had my problem.. That's where I found out to try and reinstall the BS Upgrade module.
Their Activation process is confusing...
Just got the Mi-8. For some reason when I show the Hotas cheat (that red window when you press ctrl-enter), .. my joystick is off to the left bottom, and my rudder is also. They are both fine in the huey. Maybe something that I don't know about this new chopper...
