We had one force-land in the garden a few years ago and he was in a bit of a state - sort of in a heap in the middle of the lawn. Anyway, managed to get him eating and drinking and he started to look a bit brighter but showed no signs of wanting to fly and i was getting concerned about the neighbourhood cats as it was getting dark so we tucked him up in the shed overnight in a box lined with straw borrowed from the rabbit. In the morning I went out to the shed half expecting him to be dead but no, he was sat on a rail that I'd put in to hang models when spraying. I'd already got the ring numbers the previous day so I googled pigeon racing and found a phone number and asked for some help - turns out that he'd got a bit lost - the race had started in Kent and they were heading for the Gainsborough area - and he was in Coventry. It was two more days before the owner came to get him by which time he'd decided the the shed was quite to his liking and was clearly intending to stay, I think he was a bit surprised when he was unceremoniously grabbed by his owner and stuffed into a cat box for the journey back North. I sometimes wonder if he'd been better off staying with us.
In that time we never got around to naming him - but I suspect it would have probably been 'Percy'.
Tap F8 repeatedly while starting up the PC. You'll then get a menu and safe mode with networking is a good place to start.

Have you thought about pie?
On a more serious note I think FT has the solution. For future reference I'd also consider creating a separate administrator account apart from your own so you have a way back into the machine should your account be neshed.

So now you've got access to all the...erm...private areas of the forum I suggest you go here for our comms information (in post #1), get TS set up and then come and get some stick time.
Hi ddpairborne - the reason this isn't working for you is because you're not a member of the DDz group on the forum. You are welcome to join the group if you wish but could I ask you to post in the main Forum (just look for Jim's Place) introducing yourself first (you know the sort of thing - sheep preferences etc etc etc) and then the Admins can sort out your access and get things going (there's a secret handshake and that sort of thing).
I see you're of the Canadian persuasion...well we have a fairly relaxed entry policy so you'll probably fit right in.
Oh and incidentally - welcome to the pound!

May interest the anoraks here.
So although I updated to Win 10 and quite liked it, after some minor problems which on further investigation became much larger ones, I'm back on Win 7 where I will stay for the forseeable. Once the problems are sorted I'll go back to it.
Ditto - taken the plunge and upgraded my gaming rig (7 Ultimate to 10 Pro) - everything seems to work flawlessly.with just a couple of small exceptions. Firstly 7zip which is throwing some peculiar errors (saying that .7z files are not archives and suchlike). I'll be looking into that over the next few days and secondly there seems to be a problem running some .exe files . No biggie but I'll need to look into that as well.
That aside though - I like it.
(I have disabled Cortana and hidden Edge though - lol)
I have a spare (working) SATA DVD-RW drive going begging. Yours for the cost of the postage. Anyone interested.
Incidentally it has a black bezel for anyone worried about the colour.
