Application has gone in guys. Including myself i've requested 7 tickets although this will not be in the seated area alongside the memorial as the limit for tickets there is 2. The itinerary I have shows the Service starting at noon although it advises arriving early to get through the security checks

Not sure in this case Todd, but the pictures I've seen of Hurricanes being unpacked on Malta shows metal container-style crates. I'd like to think that there are 60-odd 'new' Spitfires there just waiting to be unearthed but somehow I doubt it's that simple. Jabo

Ouch - that must've reeeeeally hurt. Mind you, there were people outside the fence during the RIAT at RAF Fairford (getting a free airshow) a few years back who were proposing to sue the RAF after the Vulcan demonstrated it's short take-off capability (basically brakes on, full throttle, brakes off) right at the very end of the runway where they were stood. The fact that the police had already warned them twice and moved them on once had nothing to do with it.

Hmmm, That certainly came to nothing and much as I would love the Burmese Spitfires to be true (60 'new' Mk II's? Yippee!) I fear he's wasiting his money - and made our PM look a bit of a twerp. Again.
