You don't really need 23mm guns to bring down choppers at low level. Any volume of small calibre fire, aimed towards the tail, is likely to bring it down. Or like in the movies, just shoot an RPG up the backside of a moving helicopter.

Chaps, The other week I did search on the IL-2 forums for a guide on how to perform Level Bombing with a He-111. One of the guides I found was a general bombing guide that included level bombing, dive bombing and another type of bombing. This other type of bombing guide mentioned flying real low ~100m, and dropping the bomb almost as you are on top of the target. But of course they mentioned you need to set the bomb delay to 3 seconds to stop blowing yourself up. But where do you set up your bomb fuses? I looked through the keymap, but couldn't find the option!?!? Or is it somewhere else, is it in the type of bomb you select?

I wouldn't mind flying alongside some fellow mud-shifters, but since I've joined up, I think I need to pass my L plates first?
