  1. I hope I remember my suncream and warm coat
  2. Hi Dom several threads about this including http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3269689/Thrustmaster_Warthog_Extension#Post3269689 http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3782580/warthog_with_extension_large_m#Post3782580 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=106994
  3. Got HSFX installed yet John? We need some Jermin pilots
  4. Maybe me, are any visits planned after Duxford??
  5. Looking incredible Is your cockpit moving in there?
  6. Hi AP, I have got a MSI 570 which was highly rated by a PC magazine. To be honest I dont think that there would be much to choose between them, however the guarantee might vary.
  7. No Nick I would start out with the stick behaving its self and then I would loose tension. This has happened several times and it happened Sunday night during the mission. (this is my excuse for not hitting anything ) I am still a bit peed off with the stats saying I crashed when I landed!
  8. Well I copied the whole FFB folder from my 4.11 backup and made the files read only and its working again (for now) I will see how it goes.
  9. Has anyone had a problem with losing spring tension but not shake effects with a Sidewinder? I have just turned off the FFB and it has returned but obviously no shaking. Any ideas???
  10. The Fleet Air Arm museum would get my vote
  11. Thanks with regard to DCS not yet. I only have the left hand MFD plugged in at the moment as I still have a couple of niggles to sort out but over the next month or so Rise of Flight, Clifford, and the DCS stuff should get their controls allocated. Then I will have to print out cheat sheets so I know which button does what. I still have to set the response curves for Il-2 as I have slightly repositioned the joystick and it feels different. I really like the button set up on the X52 stick and now I have the Logi throttle working without the reversal issue and hat switches/rotaries working it feels a lot better. The whole pit situation has taken a long time to evolve. When I told Jackie what I was planning to do I was told that I was NOT having a car seat in the dinning room, even though we last ate in there 15 years ago and it was mainly used for storing things in the sideboards. After we got the room re-plastered I reorganized it so the pit was in a recess and not visible from the kitchen dinning area and the bonus was that it was better for the TrackIR

    A Sad Day...

You did boxer shorts? I wish I had known
  13. Its nearly finished. I still have to clip some cables but its working. After glueing the X52 handle into the M/S base it worked a bit loose and started to rotate so I re glued it after roughing the shaft up to allow the glue to key into the metal. I have also put a small screw into the shaft so that should cure it. I havnt any shots of my build but if you are interested in how to do it this thread http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3733240/X52_MS_FFB2_Hybrid#Post3733240 and these pages http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=18562&page=7 http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=18562&page=8 have some good info. The cable I used to join the handle to the X52 joystick base was 25 core and maybe it might have been better to have a multi pin plug and socket as the MS stick base is now attached to the bases.
  14. I think that the overseas guys should have a say in what happens after the show, so what would they like to see/do ?
  15. Sooooo is it just Artie representing North America this year?
  16. I tested it last night and found that one of the pots wasnt working correctly, so I decided to leave that one out. I think it would have been better to leave the throttle part as it was and just fix it to the top of the joystick base as it would have saved a lot of effort and time. Oh well live and learn.
  17. Hi BluBear, if you mean the sensor for the FFB I will connect a switched supply to the stick so that the motors arnt working all the time. I am not sure what to do with the throttle handle and where I am going to mount the trim knobs.
  18. As requested here is a WIP shot of the progress so far. As you might notice I have rotated the base of the Sidewinder as previously it was a bit wide where I had it mounted.
  19. I did this http://dangerdogz.com/forums/topic/7949-more-x52-madness/?hl=%2Bx52+%2Bmadness#
  20. Has now grafted his X52 Handle onto his MS FFB Sidewinder and all the buttons work. Next job is to reorganise the old throttle and joystick bases into their new home.
