I was thinking about what you said about you Guillemot FFB stick not being recognized by Win7 and wondered if you could use the PCB off a Saitek rumble pad to replace the Guillemot one. Maybe you could use the feed to the spinning weight to switch on the FFB motor, and use the button feeds from your stick to work the Saitek PCB. Mad or what

You could always turn the wireless off on the Mac book and plug the ethernet cable into it Should be able to see if its the cable side of things or not.

For the DCS A10C you have no need to assign ANY buttons or switches. Everything works as a real A10 stick. And the Thrustmaster VDU units also work (well the buttons do the screen is a clear piece of plastick that you can put a picture or tiny LCD in)
