  2. Here is the thread: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/ ... 5381019084 Started by Le Billfish. As it has no real title, it's easy to overlook.

    New Monitor

Dell has a $150.00 off sale on it's beautiful 2407WFP 24" wide screen monitor this week and I couldn't pass it up. Plus $0.00 shipping! Now I have to sit tight for two weeks, although tha last one I ordered, (the 21" model) arrived in four days. So, what I need to know is how to set up FB to play at 1920x1200 resolution. Thanks for any help,
  7. Thanks guys, Looks sweet
  8. Hi, I've been out of the loop for a bit. Could I get a link or a quick synopsis on this campaign? As I have been under the influence of massive amounts of quality analgesics, I don't much remember any emails that may have been sent. So, if it was mailed out, could you send another copy? If I can fly it, I'll go merc. Thanks,
  9. I set mine at: Machine guns-----150 meters Cannon------------200 meters Rockets------------500 meters These are generally seen as too short, but I don't even think about pulling the trigger most of the time until I'm under 100 meters. I usully try to be between 10 and 50 meters before I really let 'er rip. I seem to remember trying to set the MGs at 100 once, but the game wouldn't allow it. That may have changed in the patches since. As for views, I usually shoot in wide view air to air and normal air to ground. This prolly explains my abysmal ground kill record. Also, it's fun playing "Dodge The Debris" when you obliterate an He111 at 25 meters
  10. The name of the profiler is IL2 Stick Sensitivity Tool. Find it at airwarfare.com http://www.airwarfare.com/Sims/IL2/il2_ ... es.htm#087 Here is my config. 11. Well, that too
  12. Even if I exagerated, my score would be too embarassing to say
  13. A little slow over 9000 miles But not bad if I keep it under four hundred
  14. Not sure if this will help anyone, but it's a little bug that pops up on some carriers. Often planes will spawn about a foot (30cm) above the deck. Thus when you've run up the engine and release the chocks, you will immediately drop and bounce. This is not the best beginning to a difficult take off. So, now I always release and rechock before starting the engine. Another little bug that only pops up occasionaly is the tailwheel will be crooked upon spawning. If you lock it in that position it can be a somewhat frustrating take off. I usually take off with no tail wheel lock, but you could just as easily unchock, give a burst of power to straighten the tail wheel, then lock and chock. Happy hunting,
  15. I think it would be nice if we could put our collective heads together. Or, maybe a contest or a vote. And come up with a standard recognition paint scheme for the Dogz. At this time in the co-ops we use icons so anyone can wear whatever they want. That may not always be the case, however. If there comes a time where we are playing in a no icon server or participating in an on line war, it is imperative that we can recognize each other. Wiggling wings and flashing nav lights can get very confusing, very fast. It sucks to be doing an amazing job of covering an AI when you thought it was a squad mate. It also sucks to shoot down a squaddie because in the heat of the moment what you though was a 109 turned out to be a Q-10. I've mis-identified plenty of planes before. You'd be surprised how alike most planes look from their six o'clock. I've been flying weekends in on line wars with a few guys over the last few years and enjoy it immensely. (As long as I don't have to do the path finding) Many times I've been ready to pull the trigger and only held back because I recognized our distinctive markings at the last second. Between us we have every eastern front VVS plane painted in our colors and many others besides. A few quick samples: I know some of you have shown interest in trying out "full switch". And for everyone else, trust me when I tell you that once your used to it, going back to an icon on server will feel like shooting fish in a barrel. So, three things. 1) Are there enough Dogz interested trying a few nights a month maybe in full switch mode? Or getting together on some nights for a little on line war action? 2) Is anyone interested in having a distictive Dogs scheme that we can all agree on? If yes, then: 3) do we have enough skinners in here to get it done this century? Looking forward to your responses
  16. What they said! (Except for that whole 'feeling the stick' thing...wierd) Was fun flyin' a Shtooka. Makes things blow up real good  Thanks again for your hard work and dedication,
  17. Ha! Personal jinx Now you two can't talk to anyone until someone else says your name three times. Or, maybe I'm spending to much time with the kids
  18. Dammit, I lost my connection about 300MB into the D/L. Looks good though, from what I've seen in the other forums. Fast D/L speed here 400kb/sec for me: http://files.filefront.com/fsxprereleas ... einfo.html
  19. Our settings have Padlock enabled? I guess if we do, it evens up the non-TrackIRers and levels the playing field somewhat. Till this evening,
  20. Personally, I think that as well as closed cockpit, it would be nice to have no, or at least limited icons. If any of you have played in the online wars you know the immersion that it provides. And as Psyco will bomb anything that moves anyways...
  21. There is a series on bombers this week (The planes-not the terrorists). 9:00EST -10:00PST. Not sure how it will be, but the first one was pretty good. Some nice footage from the first two world wars. Also some interesting interviews with some of the old fossils that flew and crewed on these birds. Might be worth a peek. Edit: Sorry, thats 8:00 and 9:00 pm.
  22. It's tough going when the enemy CO is Blair (all your bases are belong to me) Gowrie. A master tactician, be sure. The Blue side never had a chance with BG at the red helm. You held up admirably, all things considered...

    Sig Help

Sometimes, when I'm wearing my tin foil hat and the voices stop, I feel very alone But since I don't do that very often, I have plenty of people to talk to... So, I wasn't really talking to myself. It's just that no one else can hear the others.

    Sig Help

I just want my new name to show up fancy at the bottom of my posts. Question is: can I remove the white from the background? I've tried saving as a jpeg and a bmp from PhotoShop. It looks fine until I save it. Starts out with no background and once it's saved there is the white again. Try something else Rats... one more time Better One more There we go
