  1. Would one of the guru's please post the definitive step by step instructions to get me/others up to speed... Yesterday I..... 1. Created a new folder c:\program files\ubisoft\4.9m (my current game lives in c:\program files\ubisoft\il2 sturmovii 1946 2. Installed from the 1946 dvd into c:\program files\ubisoft\4.9m 3. Downloaded and installed patch 408m.46 in the same folder 4. Downloaded and installed patch 409m in the same folder 5. Tried running was was still being asked to insert disc.. game runs up in about 15 seconds and i dont get the new splash screen
  2. it may be carl, that you have the same problem as me, I suspect you are in the software as "Enforcer" and not "Enforcer57" I was still registered as "frior-one" but, as always it got sorted by our guru and all was fine. or perhaps its Hell Hounds thing and not Dangerdogz.... but stand easy......it will be sorted I'm sure....

  4. oK, I THINK i've got it....when loading it displays 4.09m in the bottom left hand corner. The load screen is the same (corsair)...it loads in about 15 seconds!, I thought i saw that there are extra hotas controls in the input screen, but i dont get them....

  6. I dont have any clean installs, so I take it I need to install il2 1946 from disc and then this patch goes on top of that? or was there another patch for 46'?

  11. ok, thanks for the input sid. I now have it working. its now just a case of trial and error for getting the scenario right. it was all to do with where i placed the aaa units. I now have to work on a defence for when (and if) the blues capture the airfield.

  14. Guys, your help and pointers please. I am working on a little dogfight scenario for a special event. I require red and blue homebases to be at the same airfield. This I have worked out. My problem is that I dont want blue to be able to spawn at the base until they have taken out all the red aaa. If they do try to spawn there I want them shot up striaght away. I have been trying various units with out much luck. Does anyone have any pointers. At the moment the 2 circles that indicate the base area overlap, could this be an issue? Cheers Friar

  19. I phoned the Red Lion this evening to see when they are taking bookings. I have been informed that I should call back on the 2nd of January as they have been given permission to go ahead with the building of a 70 bedroom hotel in conjuction with Holiday Inn Express. The building, for those that know the layout, will go along where the old Citrons were kept, in the sort of stable block, and back on to the railway line. They are hoping that by January they will have an idea of how the works are progressing and so therfore be able to make a decision about taking bookings as the Red Lion will be refurbished at around the same time. (Lets hope it does not loose its character) If I find anything else out as we go I will of course post back here. Friar, aka Con-Tours

  21. ok, looks like i may have found it.. [RespawnTime] Bigship 1800 Ship 900 Aeroanchored 600 Artillery 300 Searchlight 3600 code is added to .mis file. time is entered in minutes for how long to wait before respawn.
  22. by that do you mean i can set them NOT to re-spawn?
  23. Question: Do ground units on a dogfight map respawn once killed? If so, after how long, if the answer is no, once dead their gone.....watch this space..
  24. i used the new v5 software on thursday with my original v4 reflectors. i think it work really well. i found the set up a lot better and more precise. it also did not seem to losse centre as often. i would give it a big thumbs up.. Friar
