Following tonights hosting I am of the opinion that we should stick with 4101 as our "official" version. Tonight, we had Pooka not seeing Artie but everyone else did, parafrags not working, the multi crew still does not work.. I think it is important that we have a stable game version so all players can join in and play with no worries. Friar

My wife had her 40th birthday present at that airfield....an hour in a Tiger Moth with the Tiger Club. She flew in G.ASKP. She went up with a pilot called Brendan O'Brien. He has done stuff on one of the satellite channels he was also the preliminary instructor for the tv series about training spitfire pilots. http://www.johnjohn.co.uk/compare-tigermothflights/html/tigermoth_bio_askp.html He did touch and go's at some fields he knew, hedge hopping and then when he came back to the airfield did an aerobatic display, doing loops and barrel rolls. Janet did have a go at flying as well but gave up as she was making them both "sea sick" as she was flying it like a roller coaster. Headcorn was really busy that day with parachutists as well. Even guys going out of helicopters!. I actually thought it would make not a bad half day out, just watching all the comings and goings. Salute Friar

I can vouch for combofix as well. I used it to clear a machine of a friend who asked me to have a look at their machine. he had a fake anti virus as well.

There is a special "DogFight Server" download as part of the UP 3 files. I read somewhere that you need to have installed DF server versions up to 4101? I think this is different from the normal dog fight map?

Can anyone take me through the steps required to build a UP 3RC2 dog fight server. I have seen a post by Crash that linked to a comment that said something about it performing better than running co-ops when on the same pc, thought I'd like to give it a go

That bit about the DF server looks very interesting Crash. I think I might have to investigate that. Anyone else know anything about it?

Salute, Does any UK Dog have the facility of converting cassettes to MP3 and who would not mind doing a bit of converting for me. I know there are players around that will do it but I was being a "tight fisted old git" and wondering if someone already has one. I have some tapes of an old radio series called "The Navy Lark" I would like to be able to listen to in the car. My car has an MP3 (NOT mp4) player via a usb port. I say NOT mp4 as I tried plugging in an ipod nano with mp4 tracks and the car player could not read them. Cheers Friar

Salute, One of my main issues with building maps and missions is the placement of objects. With each new version new objects are introduced and quite often the numbers change. For Up 2.1 I used to have a utility that produced an HTML page with all the objects and their numbers, well I am pleased to say that I have been able to locate an updated version of this for UP 3.0 You can get it from here.... http://www.mediafire.com/?1v5vdzzivayp50a I have created a folder within my UP 3.0 install called "Map Building" and extracted the files to there. It comes with a read me but basically all you have to is run an .exe and it creates a html file. Click on that file and bingo, all the objects with their numbers easy to see and find. As an indicator, all the new objects have been placed on water so you can identify them. This is a brilliant tool and will make my life a lot easier. Cheers Friar

Does anyone else think that we should perhaps go back to 4.101 for a while until the patch comes out. On line at the moment seems to be back to the bad old days, people having install problems, player scores not being shown (I really did get 1280 last night), game seat issues features not working correctly etc Dont get me wrong, I think what UP 3.0 has to offer will be brilliant, but perhaps just not yet.....

Looks like this issue is sorted. I researched it on Jedipedia nd got the answer that it was "Hardwareshaders=0" that was the problem. Should be set to 1 to enable my graphics card to take over doing this sort of thing. I am now also seeing the sun reflected on water etc. FT's market Garden map looked really cool last night as well. In all the excitement I forgot to check my conf.ini for 2.1 to see if it was set in there are not. Might be a whole new game has opened up for me....... "Thanks Jedipedia, you saved the day" The Dangerdogz would like to point out that it can not be held responsible for all the information contained in Jedipedia and when accessing the Jedipedia site there have been some recorded incidents of the "flush" virus which prevents you from stopping the downloads from Jedipedia. Our technical experts have been looking into this virus and believe that issuing the the first level command ">PBQ" which is activates the "Please B Quiet" filter.
