computer was working fine...internet, porn, Il2... Left the 'ready screen' up after loading IL2 and went away for an hour or two. come back and the computer is running - but screen is black. I unplug/plug in and same thing.

Some Squad Historian I am... It was our fifth anniversary guys...geez, what a twit I am. I've gone and edited the responses...

Ok, I missed the actual date (in was in April) but we hit the fifth year as a (dis)organized squad recently. Plenty of come and stayed, and plenty have left...but one thing has stayed the same over the years: BG is a power-mad megalomaniac who'll stop at nothing in his quest for world domination. We are still the funnest, best group out there in the IL2 world. Happy anniversary guys.

I'm going to be in the general area in early September I think... BG - try to have it ready for my visit. Perv/Trout/Strider et al - will give you advance notice and we can all descend up Chez Gowrie for a meet up. I'm sure there will be enough room in the guest house's guest house's servants quarters guest house.

Unfortunately in today's PC climate (especially in the UK) if it ever got re-done we'd see no doubt a Muslim squadron and a squadron of hairy bulldykes fighting against the Luftwaffe, while the "few" were portrayed as sitting around trying to oppress them...

this happens to me often Zooly (usually if I have left the speakers plugged in for a long time or if I hit 'reset' in my Creative files. The one thing I always have to do is controls panel, sound and audio devices, voice, test hardware. for some reason this seems to reset the microphone.

Was chatting with Mod Guru BA last night about the Panther mod. D/L it today, as well as the Shooting Star mod (where you can take rockets and bombs) Both highly recommended and a hell of a lot of fun to fly... Did a QMB with 4 Panthers and 4 Shooting Stars vs 8 Luftie jets and 4 Lerches...an absolute blast.
