Don't try to run it with 4 sticks of RAM, that is a world of trouble there as the AMD64 memory controllers can't handle 4 sticks at default speeds. I personally don't think 2Gb is better than 1Gb for IL2 anyway!

Re-insert art of my deleted post: Cambridge is 10 miles from Duxford, so a 10 - 15 minute drive JP! Where in Cambridge are your friends (still struggling with the concept that you not only have friends, but they are potentially English too Cheesy)? I'll have to check with my boss Mick, but I'm game for another Dogz get together ' my gaff... Will have to see what the work front looks like, will have a clearer picture middle of June.

I'm looking into replacing the forum software at the moment. PHPBB has improved dramatically with the release of V3, and as well as integrating very nicely with our web site it also brings some nice new features. I'll continue testing and advise how it goes -

They send an activation code, I can't remember if this is also linked to an email address (I think it is though) so Crash has to only send you the activation code, and possibly the email address he used to acquire it.

My money is on the PSU being buggered M8. Alternatively are you 100% that there were no extra stand-off posts in the case that were touching the mobo circuit? Count the posts and count the mounting holes in your mobo, and make sure when board is in place you can see all posts through the mounting holes.

Excellent Angus, where can I get one? That new addition I am sure would result in the Chair of my Expense Committee (I got sacked as co-Chair due to err...financial irregularities) finally having sufficient evidence for a new white coat with long sleeves and a strong belt... -
So you ain't using V4.xx of the software with your V3? I am and my profiles are xml files, works well with the TIR3 and vector Oldtimer: http://www.viaarena.com/Driver/VIA_Hype ... _V514A.zip is the drivers. An addon card is a good idea

Rear ports are pretty much the same as front, although I heard someone saying different at work the other day... If you want to try a different port, like a rear one say, then you will have to un-install your TIR first then move it and re-install. Your symptoms could be your power supply is not up to the job, what make/model is it? This could be the classic sound loop lockup you are experiencing.

My experience of TiR is such that I know a USB hard drive (including pen drives) will conflict with TiR, so try to not have one plugged in.
