  1. You should be able to submit an image... Click on, say photos folder, then you should see 'Submit an image to this section' this is the link for photo uploads: http://www.dangerdogz.com/gallery/p17_sectionid/3/p17_action/submitimage The gallery is now set to auto publish images... I haven't allowed images to be uploaded into the root folder 'Images' only the sub folders...should I change it?

  3. Got to be the funniest video I ever saw, UK blokes will appreciate this http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=dyqEPgRc6IE
  4. Ask the admin, he should know if it is not the default, as he would have configured it that way. You can also test if it is configured the same as the dogz server and try the main port..
  5. I think this is because the monitor port (in your TCPPort column) is not on the default 51234. The DangerDogz one for instance is on the same port as the port (8930). This is the reason why I haven't been able to get TS Viewer working on our site, our hosting company has blocked that port in their firewall. (I will provide a work around by hosting a page on one of my servers and making that available in the Dogz site). HTH
  6. Finally found it in a backup of the site from last year: http://www.dangerdogz.com/plugins/p13_d ... sionid=285 There you go
  7. Hey T_O_A_D M8, if you want a sacrificial system you got to try: http://www.virtualbox.org/ It is free, a simple install and then you run it and create a virtual pc within it - this will be a file on your HD htat you can copy, if it gets smoked then you just delete and copy the original back. The virtual drive for it starts out small and expands as required up to the maximum size you set (unless you take the option to create a fixed size virtual disk). I'm using to run a few OS's, the coolest of which is Linux within my XP64 bit boot, and in 'seamless mode' where I have linux apps running along with Windows. Great for safe browsing

    Re: anti spyware

Activex is useful only for windows update and creative driver updates. nVidia uses it too, but has an alternative for Firefox. Firefox is pretty safe, safer than IE any way. Windows update will always use IE, but other than that I do not think you will miss or use IE.

    Re: anti spyware

Yep, no activex to start with, plus it is also more standards compliant

    Re: anti spyware

    Filefactory.com
  11. What version of Office is it?
  12. Firefox from here: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ It will need plugins, just as IE6/7/8 does, but they will be easy to install and should be linked when needed.

    Re: anti spyware

OK I have now been able to test the site

    Re: anti spyware

    Yes that is correct.
  15. If you have 40Gb free space left on your D drive (or partition if you like) you can use drive snapshot to create a backup image on D:, and then format C: and re-install windows. DriveSnapshot will allow you to open the image on the D drive after rebuild and recover files etc. It is very easy to use, free for 30 days, and will ensure you get a good backup before you go any further. Download it from here: http://www.drivesnapshot.de/en/ Or from the attachment I have included!
  16. Sorry Andrew, transatlantic lag at work here. In the spyware thread I linked to a free disk image program. I would take a snapshot (image) of your current C: drive then once done I would then format c: and re-install, relying on the snapshot taken earlier to restore data. As your c: drive is only 40Gb you can do a drive image, too late for me to do this now but...I will share my copy of Paragon Drive image so you can do this tomorrow.
  17. yup...pm sent
  18. Use Cpanel to create a database (mySQL) and user. Take note of what the names are, and password you create. Assign all rights to user for database. Upload extracted files from PixelPost zip (or if 000webhost support it use CPanel file manager to upload and then extract). Then follow PixelPost install instructions, supplying Database name and user name/password when prompted. I assume that 000WebHost have the mySQL database on same server, so you will enter localhost for server address. Having not used 000WebHost that is the best I can do for now!

    Re: anti spyware

oh and one last thing.... Your rights have not changed as a result, I don't think you had moderation rights here originally. Whatever happens on your PC won't affect your permissions here

    Re: anti spyware

Andrew, if you did not format there is a very good chance your email file is still there! What client do you use? If it's outlook express then look in c:\documents and settings\, you should see a list of user names. If you created a logon with the same name as before your new one will consist of two parts. For example my PC is called 'Rogers' and my logon is 'Roger', this results in my new user folder being 'rogers.roger' and my old one being just 'Roger'. Your emails 9and settings) will be stored in a folder thus: C:\Documents and Settings\OLD USER NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{E820821D-62D9-4081-965A-4B80A4902837}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\ Change the bits in Bold Red text to match what you have (the last bit E820821D-blah-blah-blah) is a randomly generated string and Mozilla Firefox (which you really should be using ;) ) and Thunderbird do the same. You can import the old messages (and settings too if required) by going to File->Import->Messages Select outlook 6,then tick Import mail from an OE6 store directory, click ok and browse to the folder you found above.. You will alos now have a good idea how to determine where your current mail store is, and knowing that means you can back it up to your external hard drive

M8. Do yourself a favour! Use our free file hosting: http://www.dangerdogz.com/K9Vault It's what it is there for and we have over 100Gb of space
  22. I'm running a 4870 512 now, with an AMD 6000+ and 4GB RAM. IL2 is very smooth @ 1680 x 1050 perfect, under both XP 64bit and Vista 64bit. Prices are really reasonable now, so I just had to do it. Stayed away from the Phenom CPUs for now though, but one day soon....maybe! Nice to see AutoCAD get a mention, it was using and supporting that in my Manufacturing Engineer days that got me into IT
