  1. Perfect show 402nd! Eight a/c took off, and eight a/c landed back at home. Lots of damage was done to enemy targets. Great job on flying Formation! Proud !

  8. Yes there is. As I made that file named #2 one that will be suppressed / deleted by ChkSkins. We do not want two files that are basically the same like all over the place, now do we? So, delete your orignal, and re-run ChkSkins ... all will be good. Even ppl that do not have your new skin, will still see the old version. Beats having the blank/default skin, if they have not updated/download the latter one ... and... the download that Chris offers is named without the #2 ... so people that downloaded it, and not use ChkSkins will not have your #2 ... Sorry, but I just do not like them doubles ... oh, yeah, you are right, I should be more flexible... I know I know... but...

  9. Agree with most of the points raised both by Friar and FT. I really enjoyed the mission on Saturday as it was a massive improvement on the one before. I liked the misdirection attempted by the Germans posing as Russians Friar put into the last mission particularly. Different comms worked well and smaller units with separate tasks was fun. Adding a navigation challenge is a good idea as is including different types of tanks and self propelled guns. Imagine having to bring up a tank killer if you come across a Tiger or two. The fastest tank is the T34 so that could be used to scout with KV1s as the main battle tank? Travel speed would have to be reduced if ISU152 SPGs were needed for combat. More to think about and more fun ? A more sever “penalty” for being killed might not be necessary if each played considers “no deaths” as important as a personal kill tally as a measure of a successful mission ? I thought the number of respawn points was about right but maybe more enemy targets might be something to consider ? My 2 cents 👍🏻

  10. Is the broken engine a mod, or am I allowed to skip that one? Thanks for the update Chris - very subtle - looks great!

  11. Its not so bad, as the kits are simple. But I have a magnifying lamp if I need it but it just makes my eyes cross. Here's my current setup. I've since organized a bit. Note the 69' Fastback in assembly. I started that kit in 2001. (Hated the look of testors enamel so shelved it. Its back on with acrylics.) These little buggers were hard to see. Yes they are bog standard army men. (were) Mostly to try out some paint and brush techniques. Getting a little wild. Dollar store toys are cheap practice. Close up on the Mustang. First order was to prime and repaint over the metallic red seats. Not sure what I was thinking back then. Faux wood trim and 2 tone withe leather seats looks much better. Don't like the box art so Im going with a dark gloss blue finish. The shelf of future possibilities. (boxes for the yak, mig, and cobra still on the shelf.)

  12. Must get myself some pedals some day.... In a moment of weekend lockdown boredom I took my now old toys out for some exercise today. Not far down the coast they're trying to protect what Brunel built in the middle of the nineteenth century from the effects of climate change in the early twenty-first. The only way to protect the line whilst keeping it open is to use this floating rig which can 'walk' itself along the foot of the embankment pile-driving as it goes. A couple of miles further down the road provides a splendid view of some of the very large ships which have been anchored off Torbay and Lyme Bay for the last ten months. Most of the cruise ships seem to have come here from the Med. to enjoy the free parking but further out are tankers and bulk carriers with nowhere to go either. This is all a shocking twenty miles from where I live so I expect I'm breaking some sort of rule but this is the furthest I've travelled from my home in about five months!
