Brings back memories, I lived in Malta for a couple of years back in 1971/2. The old buses have gone now I hear, they were a remarkable sight. There used to be a tunnel in Malta, don't recall where, but the road was made by the Chinese and as smooth as a baby's bum compared to the Maltese linked potholes that pass for a road. When I was at school in Essex a WW2 veteran pilot visited, and regaled us with tales of his experience in Malta. Including landing at Valletta airport... what bloody airport!!
