The film is not that good, very bad accents on the germans. They also had to insert a bad love-story.

The acting is bad, story has big holes it it.

The CGI is half-descent with some good scenes. A bit like the movie flyboys but with even worse acting (if at all possible).

Might be worth a watch, but do hold any high hopes. There are worse ways to spend two hours, but you are almost better off with 2 hours in a Gladiator in Il2.

I have a dvix copy of it, It kept my attention, and I watch very few movies, anymore that do.

a tad off topic...but I find it odd that no one (at least that I've read...) has ever disputed his claims. Odd because I've seen disputes of Billy Bishop, Hartmann, Pappy Boyington, Bader, Marseilles, and basically every other big time ace...but never the Red Baron.

Not sure if just the romanticism behind the legend, or what...

On topic, I will watch the movie...if only for the CGI though.
