MadTrooper
Guys, this is a story that I have found surfing on the internet. I don't know who wrote it but it is worth reading. We're hearing a lot today about big splashy memorial services for such “luminaries†
Enforcer57
Oooh Raaa. Yeah, he was interviewed some on the series. Man, what that guy and his pals did. Don't expect ANY mention on ANY lousy news network (maybe fox, but don't count on it). I'm sure the pentagon channel or the military channel, but not the main ones. He was one of those guys that was there when we needed them. They are too busy covering the President going to Denmark lobbying for the olympics, or who knocked up the Kardashian broad etc. The people that matter care. MadTrooper
I hear you Enforcer, I know Shifty from the Series ''Band of Brothers'' I own a copy of it and every fall, I watch the all series. I just love it and everytime I see them old vets say a bit of their stories, I'm very moved. Just look at the pain in their faces. They were Heros and we shall never forget what they did for us. We shall always remember them !
Perfesser
I hope when the young folks of today get to our age they'll appreciate what these guys and the ones serving today have done for them.
Rattler
I'm doing my best to let my students know all ab out it. I'm running the Remembrance Day ceremonies at school again this year. Salute Shifty, and the gent who met him at the airport.
