Ash Posted July 3, 2009 Author Posted July 3, 2009 Seems the over-riding experienced feedback is first getting decent situational awareness, aka - vision = survivability! Being fairly noobish I do know that I fight in mostly 2 dimensions and struggle tracking in a turn fight with the hat switch so I can see the sense in this advice, I think I have a good 'feel' for turn ACM & stall but struggle with 'E' and the vertical plane. (encrypt with Operation Pedestal Anti-Tommy Enigma code for that bit by the way . . . . Quote
Perfesser Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Again, instead of Track IR consider the Freetrack setup. Same thing as TrackIR, you just collect the components yourself. Quote

2. Administrators Jabo Posted July 3, 2009 2. Administrators Posted July 3, 2009 I know Perf and others have had success with Freetrack, but despite the best efforts of the likes of Jedi, I never got to the point where I was completely happy with it, so eventually went for TIR. I guess my point is that by at least trying FreeTrack, you might get a system you're happy with without the outlay, I don't regret trying it, it might have saved me £140, it didn't, but it *might* have.
