X45 is known to have cable issues, IIRC some had dry solder joints or breaking wires.

Fiddly, but you are a model maker, you could strip it down and do a continuity test on the cable...

Dave,

The X52 is on my permanent wish list, mainly because it seems to be the set that crops up most.

I have been tracking it for a while now and here seems to be one of the cheapest

All the serious players seam to favour the x52/x52pro

But as a personal thought controling a BF ,Yak or Spit with controls ripped from a F16 seems...well ....just wrong :-\

My local hardware supplier RCSimulations let me have a play with the new saitek yoke .weird to combat with but I was
