BBloke Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Grrrrrrr.. now you have me thinking. How about latching onto the DirectInput side of things using an SDK tool bolted to "OnMove - Select Engine and do what you input. Thats another sleepless night I'll have Sounds like I should check MS Visual C# or something similar Quote
1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted September 23, 2007 1. DDz Quorum Posted September 23, 2007 FCI Project, or whatever his name is, is missing out on something here. And it's not just his communication abilities! A utility that will combine any controllers is a potential killer app. And yes 'on move' or using timers to get and compare states, and carry out actions if a state change is detected. More feasible now that multi core CPUs and higher power is prevalent. Quote
BBloke Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 I had a brief search around and it should be possible in C# but I need more material to work with and a quadrant would come in very handy. I can see its gonna take some time at the moment. Quote

cannon_fodder Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Great post, because I was under the impression that the Quadrant could control individual engines in IL2 right out of the box. Glenn Apparantly it works out of the box for every sim EXCEPT IL2 1946!! IL2 wont let you map HOTAS for each engine or for Prop pitch .You have to macro "select engine, change, select both" I mentioned the saitek Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant because its a lot cheeper than the CH quadrant plus I dont like the CH range much. Still it gives someone 3 extra sliders. you could alwas use them for flaps or trim?? Quote
BBloke Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Sad but the game has no individual controls for engine management. Quote
