But if you want to experience 6 DOF with your TiR, and relish the authentic sounds it is easily worth the $20 it now sells at. This is a very quick and dirty vid I captured, I haven't set BoB up properly, but wanted to share this any way. DDz Quorum Posted May 14, 2007 Glad you enjoyed it, I sacrificed my Hurri for that Hearing the 109 behind me firing, and the realistic bullet impact sounds was pretty good - I can see how this could be very immersing. The campaign side of it looks awesome, although I have never attempted it. Engine start up procedure is pretty good too, with the click-able cockpit controls. I'll have to do another vid of the spit, shame the flyables are so limited. Quote

sged Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 I really enjoyed this clip.... Didn't know there was already an older version of BoB.....so the one I'm waiting on in vain is actually a follow up? It would be great if the makers could write a patch with sounds and 6 dof for IL2......the impact of schrapnell and bullets, amazing...the sound of the flak blowing up.....I did miss the humming of the bombers on that fly-by though.... delta7 Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 sged- this BOB is an older sim by a company called ROWAN. they folded but let the source code to a group of enthusiasts who continued to develop it in their spare time, shockwave then took over the development and released it as Bob Wings of Victory and have continued to support the enthusiasts development team Quote

I've been reading in a swiffy on the forum, and they are talking about a patch which changes other sounds (machineguns?)and the clarity of cockpit glass? Are those different patches then the one you talked about? I'm gonna order it through their website, unless I can find a cheaper on E-bay, but I've already checked, to no avail... Quote
