GreyKnight
Chaps, Is it possible to use an X-52 throttle on its own, without the matching joystick? Or is there now way of separating the two?
Shadow
It's certainly possible. If you run a search over on the Ubi forums you find all kinds of posts on how to do it http://forums.ubi.com/eve/ubb.x?a=frm&s ... f=23110283
GreyKnight
Have you got the pair Shadow? Does each device have its own USB connector or something similar?
1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted May 4, 2007 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted May 4, 2007 Usual thing is to simply plug in the X52 Hotas as is, but put the Joystick out of the way (but in reach as it becomes a 'button bay'). I did just this with my X45/MSFFB2 combo, never ever flew with the X45, just used the throttle and the buttons on the joystick. If the X52 takes controller ID #1 setting curves can be a little tricky, use IL2 Sticks as FB won't allow curve setting for ID

Nope - throttle plugs into Joystick which in turn plugs into USB port, hence both units are enabled.
Tonar
Interesting My X-52 throttle plugs into a USB port and then my stick plugs into the throttle.
Shadow
What Tonar Said! I'd think you could run without the stick attached.
1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted May 4, 2007 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted May 4, 2007 Well I was half right...only one has a USB. X45 is as I said though, throttle plugs into stick, stick plugs into USB... Why not use the stick as a button bay though...unless desk space is at a premium...
Shadow
I think I might try hooking up my X-52 throttle and my X-45 stick and see what happens. Contrary to what most people seem to think I find the stick on the 45 much more responsive. I wonder if the profiler will still work though.
