Yup, 1080 is in there 👍🏻

I am pleased to confirm that Mr P's new rig (with bits of old rig) is up and working. Or at least it was at 10pm this evening - time will tell what happens tomorrow.

Huzzah! That's good news.

I finally pulled the trigger on my new set up today, awaiting lead time now from scan.

Any luck with 3060s last night Nick? Noticed all greyed out on scan today.

No mate - from reports it would appear that the miners have grabbed most of the available stock and the scalpers had the rest - they never even came up for sale on Scan.

Scan did previously say that they'd only sell the stock they physically had (no pre-orders) so it looks like they hadn't even managed to secure any for launch day

Well, rather frustratingly I just got an email from Scan saying that two of the items I've ordered (RAM and SSD) are out of stock with no firm ETA, despite everything being in-stock at the point of ordering. Two other items (mobo and cooler) are due in tomorrow and 15/3 which is fine. Luckily, I'm in no rush (yet) but it's just annoying when it all clearly said in stock when they took my money.

Sorry to hear that Chris, they also emailed me saying delivery would be Monday but was in fact Friday. The consolation will hopefully be that the product is good when it eventually arrives.

To be honest, I think they are really suffering (as all suppliers are) from the scalpers etc and subsequent increased demand naturally now on the next range of components down from top end.

Fingers crossed I don't have to wait too long...

Ask them if they'll ship it for a reduced cost without the RAM and SSD and source those from elsewhere?

Tempting, but the mobo bundle is being overclocked and stress-tested by them as a whole unit (mobo-cpu-ram) so not sure they'll do that.

As I said, I'm in no particular rush, so if I have to wait a few weeks, so be it.

Numbers are looking terrible on 3080 and 3090 for March with no forward shipments coming from any vendor.

Cards not listed above is because we no longer have back orders, a dire situation considering were more than six months on and stock is still terrible, our advice now is customers request a refund via the online form.

This is from the Overclockers forum. The highlighted ones are I think about £3000+
27 pre orders !!!!!!!!

another post from Gibbo (I think he is the manager at OCuk)

Been doing this for over twenty years now and never in my life have I experienced times like this for shortages.

The last time we had a mining craze we were able to keep our regular gaming cards in stock, people from here will remember what we did to support gamers and we were also able to get large volumes of cards ideal for mining like RX 470/480 at the time to cater for mining demand. In short I could go hunting for deals and stock, I would find the stock and be able to buy 100 and 1000's of cards, whilst still keeping in stock the latest gaming product at the time.

Now I can't even keep 1050Ti in stock, it is an absolute disaster. I think the biggest issue here is scalpers, they are roaming the internet, have scripts/bots setup to literally buy anything.
The fact some of our competitors are listing 3070's in stock at £1099 and selling out within minutes shows how crazy it is.

The miners are an issue, but the real issue is the scalpers I feel and the problem is right now there is so much pent up demand from every type of possible customer, at this rate onboard graphics will be booming again in no time.

I truly do hope Intel can come to this party and get to it this year with something that offers around 3060-3070 performance as we need another major player and one that has huge manufacturing capacity.

Demand is up in general for PC gaming components and system, but mining, scalpers and the hype around the new cards has sent it out of control, 2021 is a write off, it won't get any better, maybe even worse before it does and unless I can see signs of an improvement by June/July then this issue will go well into 2022.

There again last week there were no 3090s incoming and 4 days later

Asus 3090 TUF OC x8
Asus 3090 Strix OC x4
Gigabyte 3090 Gaming OC x5
Gigabyte 3090 Master x5

Asus 3080 TUF OC x8

Gigabyte 3070 Gaming OC x30

So things can get better but very slowly.

At least BB will get my 1080oc when my card comes in

So these “manufacturers” 3060 cards Novatech were including in their available now new builds, what’s the story for them chaps ?

I would expect them to be the base Founders Edition. Scan is the UK distributor for Nvidia. As you can see from the above posts ALL graphics cards are rare but some, 3080 I am looking at you, and even more rare.
